Fastest Chaos Sanctuary Runner?

What class can run CS the fastest, in an 8-player game, soloing?

I've been testing out builds in single player, however without certain runewords (infinity) it's been tough to gauge the speed. So far, from my B.net experience and single player:

Poison Necro (Poison Nova + Synergies, 20SM/20RS); wearing Bramble, Death's Web, 3-Piece Trangs, a lot of +skill for about 11K Poison nova, usually about 22K over 2 seconds with -resists + LR. Amp, CE when mobs go down. Most poison immunes (none inside CS) can be killed with amp + skellies + Beast on switch for necro, +might merc w/ concentration + CE. Incredibly safe.

LF + Infinity. This has got to be fast. Zon wearing griffons, facets, Tstrokes. But I'm not sure how fast.

Full lightning synergy Trapper + infinity. Probably similar to LF Zon speed. However LI's that are broken will still barely be damaged, since -resist and facets on trapper won't help traps lower resistances.

Hammerdin. Duh.

Multi-zon. I don't know...I tried one out in single player (no faith, only WF) and was able to get my damage up to about 3K - 3.5K. It still took a very long time to widdle down the groups.

Any others?

How would you rank these in terms of speed in clearing CS?

I've seen an amazon setup like this...

Shako
Enigma
Tstroke/SS // Wiz/SS
Arachnid's/Tgods (If FCR gloves)
Ravenfrost
Dual leech/res ring
Mara's
Waterwalk
LoH/(Magefist/Trang's (If Tgod's))

Infinity
Treachery
Tal's Mask/Gaze/CoA/etc.

She killed pretty well and seemed like a fun character.

Lucky

LF zons can kill decent speed but I find even with infinity those gloams are still kind of a slow kill.

A blizz sorc would mow down the competition pretty quickly. A fireballer as well.

Hammerdins can do it but not the speediest builds. I do it easily with a light sorc but it could be faster.

I dunno the risk of IM if you're using a rabies druid. Maybe if you take off your wpn the dmg might still be decent, or at least use a low phys wpn. Worth looking into IMO, rabies is a nice pvm skill.

Zerk is no good for speed with all the groups attacking you with no def.

Aside from hammerdins pally's are essentially out of the question. Except for a dual dream zealot.

Trappers similar to zons, slower IMO.

PSN necro I think is ok, dont have a ton of experience.

A sorc is probably your speediest option.

To clarify before I write out detailed thoughts...

Are you talking about full clears, or just seals+D?

Full clears.

Whoops didn't think about Blizz sorc. I bet they do run it fast.

Rabie rabies rabiea...I keep hearing about it in PVP forums getting up to like 50K damage...how? I max it, with synergy, and tons of +skills, and it doesn't get very high (5K maybe?) I don't see how you can get 45K in poison damage charms...

Tons of skillers/pdmg/facets/etc

Blizz sorc would probably be the fastest as they can rain down the dps pretty quickly. Between the Glacial spikes/merc/cold nova/etc you shouldn't have too much to worry about

I'm having trouble with a Blizz sorc. Anything not cold immune dies in 2 - 3 hits in 8 player game, which is damn fast. However, oblivion knights cold immunity can't be broken by conviction, or conviction + lower resist. When you rely on your merc to kill them, he gets eaten by IM.

You should be using a Fire Rogue Merc. Not an Act II Merc. You will freeze and kill everything but the Oblivion Knights very quickly so you can keep her safe. Oblivion Knights only cast Curses and Bone Spirit. She won't have to worry about Iron Maiden and their Bone Spirits aren't strong enough to kill her.

For full clears then, aside from the builds you've listed, try out an LF/FA zon. I've had success doing it with them. The lightning synergies don't add a lot to LF damage, just the CS damage, and in a full clear killing D isn't exactly the time consuming aspect, so you don't lose a lot for giving up 2 synergies in favour of a 2nd element. FA is just plain stylish... not only is it reasonable damage on LIs, but pesky extra fast jerkfaces get owned by it too, and unlike Strafe it benefits from all the pierce junk and skills you need to make LF work, while not requiring that silly AR crap for anything but leech.

Trappers and necros plow through it like nothing in 1 player games, but they slow to a crawl in 8 player. Blizz sorks, the problem you mentioned is the problem I have, Sir Dante's solution might work though. Blizzballer maybe, but if I were to try with a sorc for 8 player games it would definitely be with a CL one as the LIs aren't bad with a merc so long as you can keep IM off. The advantage a CL sorc has over a trapper is that a CL sorc can force it's damage on the OKs and can force it's merc on the LIs.

Assuming budget is not a constraint...
The fastest full clear build is probably going to be a full synergy Lightning Sorc with an Infinity Scythe or Voulge Merc (holy freeze). They are extremely fast.

Here's the build I'd go with:
Griffons (-5 facet)
CoH
HotO
SS (-5 facet)
Arach
Mages
Waterwalks
2x FCR Rings & Maras or SoJ+BK & 12%+ FCR Caster Amulet
CTA & Eth Spirit Switch

That gets you 117% FCR for the lightning BP and a good amount of DR. You'll want max block, obviously. Fire is the only Resist you absolutely need stacked. It wouldn't hurt to have the others stacked some, but Fire is a must. Conviction Infector is not pleasant.

The only thing that'll slow you down is the occasional Lightning+Physical Immune Grand Vizier of Chaos. Your merc will eventually be able to take him down with cold damage + poison damage (holy freeze + treachery).

For massive poison on a rabies druid you're looking at using:

- 1 Grief
- 2 Trangs gloves
- 3 bramble if you're not happy with your dmg already.

The problem with grief for this excercise is that it adds massive physical dmg which is likely to get you killed in CS. I'd look around at other possibilities.

In case you were wondering, the fastest seal+D (not full clears) runners are Hammerdins and Zerkers. Zerkers have to rely heavily on howl to keep everything but the seal bosses away. I prefer Zerkers, but you really need to stay on your toes. Mana Burn + IM as you zerk can = instant death.
