ETH COH on Merc ?

I have an infinity a2 merc and am trying to figure out how to let him wear a Delerium helm and carry my infinity CV. The 200 strength required by the Eth CV infinity is a pain. He wears Fort and the Mask of Horror (with gem) for +30 str helm. I am thinking of giving him COH for +20 str so he can wear delerium.

Delerium is a great helm for crowd control as it has lots of ctc spells. Confusion is awesom. I have seen 100 Hell cows confused by this helm. They fought among themselves as I chopped them to bits. It is a perfect helm for my sin's merc.

The merc is at level 83 or so and still needs 15 addition str to carry infinity. Is COH the only way to go for him to wear the delerium helm ? Would it be a good idea ?

Leviathan works as well as a solid merc armor. Be really unique use a Griswold armor. There are a lot of options.

He needs 200 str to carry the infinity CV. At the moment he is 15 points shy of 200 str. I have mask of horror on him now just for the +strength. It is not very good otherwise.

I want to put delerium on him as IMHO it is the best helm for a sin merc. The lvl 18 CTC confuse is awesome. My pally's merc was wearing this helm and we demolished hell cows. Confusion would blast and a 100 cows would start fighting each other. This let me easily kill them off.

Delerium and infinity dont give +str. The only other source is his armor. COH gives +20 to strength so it would work.

Do you realise the armors I listed all give +str?
Stone +16 str
Leviathan +40-50 str
Upped Spirit Forge +15 str and 2 sockets
Upped Duriels Shell +15 str
Upped Black Hades 3 sockets
Griswold's +20 str 3 sockets

You don't have to up the armors but it helps if you have the runes.


+ if it's all about the confuse for you. Look into a dream helm as well. Delerium has that annoying 1% cast into a doll mod. That's why I never use it. Plus he'll add like a real damage if he's using infinity.

I've always liked duriels as a cheap option. Its got str, cbf, life and res. Whats not to like?
