It is Easter today and the family is coming to visit and we have an Easter Egg Hunt for all the little guys and gals who are coming. I spent most of last night cleaning the house, just so it can get dirty again today. :lol:

I have to cook 2 hams, potatoes, and other stuff a little later. Soon actually. I may be able to squeeze in a hell pit run or two before they get here, I hope.

M_D, SP, it's great to see you guys here. I'll be in on that cold one and the Guinness. :drink: On second thoughts, maybe I had better restock the bar with a couple of the town drunks in here. :)

Four pages back is a bit of a worry, but maybe the bar was closed for Easter.

There's no excuse now for it to fall so far back, and it won't if I have anything to do with it. I guess I'll just have to come in and drink some more. :drink:

Speaking of which, maybe someone should warn M_D about the bear - it's not just the wolf cubs that could molest you - Lucy might be in for a bit of fun!

It's me birthday today. A nice and prime 23 as of 3 hours ago. Wait, or is it 7 hours ago, or 12 hours ahead? I was born in taiwan and never did got the grasp of converting US east time to Taiwan time. Anyways, drinks on me for today :)

Sad news for me, as my highest level character died through my stubbornness and stupidity (isn't it always). So I'll have a quick drink in honour of Sarah, my tourney amazon, who made it to the ripe old age of 75 before being consumed by two unique packs of ghosts. :drink:

Yeah, Vireyar, I remember you and your ever-unfolding 'tar. Been a while, though, right?

D2 wise nothing much is happening. Got Katana through normal last week, and dissassembled the lot for the UT2004 LAN party on Saturday, where much fun was had by all. But the new game modes (Assault?) have me stumped.

Now Katana has to face the biggest challenge of all: Coldworm...

:lol: Yeah, I know. But with all those poison-immune minions, ever laying eggs, and the biatch herself turning out huge amounts of egg-layers herself, it's... Well, tricky. Maybe I'll just grab the staff and make a run for it.

Now, where's that lever for the Shalak-special? My wife was sick during the night. I need a pick-me-up, hardly slept at all.

Here ya go...sorry, been Morrowinding as of late. I'll get back to D2 eventually, I promise! *laughs*

I've been debating as to how long I'm going to exile/take a break from D2. I doubt it will be permanent, as aside from Morrowind I've no great love for FPS games, but I'm not seeing an immediate return to D2 in my near future. Had I beaten the main quest about two weeks ago, that would've been a different story...

What Diablo has over Morrowind:

-distinct lack of 3D graphics (so I can play for longer than three hours without getting nausea, though this is getting better. Also cuts back on load time.
-simple, set quests, with nothing between you and completion but the baddies.
-lack of load-lag (unless one uses a slow computer)
-pure hack 'n slash fun!
-easy-to-use, quick leveling system based on experience points.
-simple character creation system (pick a class and go with it)
-lack of memory leak issues (which is enough to make me drop Morrowind for D2 again, unless they patch it. See next lineup.)
-Better, lag-free weather system (NO ASH STORMS!)
-ability to actually LOSE a character (Sounds strange, I know, but one of the benefits of playing HC is knowing just how much is on the line.)
-multiplayer option

What Morrowind has over Diablo:
-Two expansions (& patches for whatever bugs may come along)
-More quest options
-Larger environment (and you thought Act II was big?)
-More RPG-like gameplay (choose race AND class, birthsign, etc.; join guilds, do whatever...)
-cooler music
-ability to kill annoying NPC's (though you'll accrue a bounty each time you do, unless you get a writ of assassination from the assassin's guild...*evil grin*)
-no twinkability* (great for Purists! :D )
-single player only (for those who prefer to play solo only)


Ehm...right. I'll just take my pomegranate juice and pop over to the corner and ponder what I'm going to do about Jadis. She needs mana, BADLY. Any other Cold Sorcs have any ideas as to how I can help her out? She's in Act II, I believe.

Been thinking that I will take a break from D2 for a little while after I pat my barb. I can't decide whether to make an Assasin or Amazon, so maybe a break is in order. Been fiddling around with a little war game called Hearts of Iron. I've been thinking that maybe I'll give the huge learning curve a go. See if I can take over the world in the 1940's. Then come back to D2. Maybe throw in a little Morrowind for good measure, too.

There has never been a game that has hooked me like D2 has. So, it would be near impossible to ever give it up. I have been playing it for so long now, that I don't think I could give it up completely. There have been so many games, so many that I have given up on. But D2 keeps calling me back. I think I'll be playing it up until D3 comes out :lol:

Anyways, I'll just wander into this corner here and think about what I will do with my time after I pat this guy.

Lady S, play as often or as little as you like. Mix them up if you need to, it doesn't matter. You'll always be welcome back here.

I'll probably get a chance to play D2 again on the weekend, and I'll be right back into HC. I'm considering starting a new character, but I haven't decided between a barb, a pally, an assy or another zon yet. Then there's always the difficult bit about choosing a name!

@Mage11: if you can't think of good names, just go for silly ones that make the naming quest interesting. Like "HouseOfPain's Flail".... or not
 
Hm. question for you, Lady S. Does pomegranate juice taste like pomegranate seeds? Such a stupid sounding question...but I absolutely love the taste of pomegranate, and, if the juice is as good, that would be amazing from time to time. :)
