Something about Fosters beer being called beer? I can't mock the Aussies, they gave the world Redgum and Feed. The one Redgum album I've been able to track down is probably the most amazing album I've heard in five years.

I noticed my monitor's (24") power button was getting stuck earlier in the evening, and just now it wouldn't turn on. For some reason the replacement monitor (20") didn't auto-readjust resolution, but as I had the rig hooked up to the TV I had to frantically click-and-drag until the screen res window appeared on the TV and I was able to downgrade the res. I'll have to see if I can make a claim under the house insurance, but I doubt I'll be able to afford the excess. Nothing like losing 4" to emasculate a man, especially on a Friday night.
 
Your right fosters is crap, that is why we don't drink it here (it is an export only beer). Saying Aussie beer is crap because fosters is crap is like saying Belgian beer is crap because stella is crap (or US / budweiser ... you get the picture).

Anyway I am surprised at you F_E, I expected something about the Ashes or convicts or at least some of the normal mocking
 
I like to be creative with my mocking, especially when it comes to institutionalised racism, besides, I don't care for cricket.

What's your favourite TV show? Prison Break? The Prisoner? Prisoner: Cell Block H? Do Aussies watch Neighbours and Home & Away, or are they export-only soap operas?
 
Unfortunately I think there are some people in Australia who watch those soap operas ..

Unfortunately for you I live in South Australia which was the only state not to have convicts (everyone that came to South Australia wanted to live here :))

really trade reporting? if so thats kestegs end of the stick. If i was more inclined to effort i would of run a char to act 5 to personalise it. but it was enough effort to just make a char called kestegs.

@kestegs: thats exactly why i gave it to you. I made it probably a month before i stopped playing and it's only made it onto 1 char because as far as i am concerned the lack of resists kill it. and teleporting is for sorcs not manly druids
 
XXXX good??? Is that an april fools joke ..... (if so you missed it by a day). Teds is average Heinechen is drinkable, but none of them are what I would call good beers. Then again I am a bit of a beer snob (hence why my tar is a beer label).

Trade reporting is not critical, but people may want to know where he got the item from.

The enigma has been returned, unused. Without going into a huge amount of detail:

There were some things that happened a LONG time ago on this forum that have caused corax to be tainted by another member. And after some Pm's with THY: If I were to use the enigma it would remove me from the trade pool, etc...

I now have extensive knowledge on this subject, and I do not fault corax, but it doesn't make the enigma less tainted :(

Sorry corax, sometimes being a nice guy doesn't play out the way you want it to. I really feel bad about the whole situation.

I will get my enigma someday, I can wait.

@ corax I may have been a little harsh on the XXXX, it is not that bad and I used to drink it when I was working at moomba. I find it annoying that it is the only beer available at the cricket :(

Out of interest when you say spirits snob, in what way are you a spirits snob? I personally am very partial to single malt whiskey

@jcakes: agree'd single malt is the go. however i did recently try chiver regals which is supposed to be quite nice and ended up giving it away as it was nasty as. (and i can drink almost anything). Also nice vodka is very nice, whereas cheap vodka is nasty and always tastes like lemon.

One of my mates has been trying to get me into cocktails recently, some are alright, others less so. the whole lot just involve too much prep to be worth it IMO.

Does anyone else ever switch on the TV and see a movie on and sit there and watch it, then go wait a sec i got it on dvd why don't i do that so i can not have ads. then just watch it on tv anyway.

Me too with the movies, and the beer.

I thought I recognized the "Le fin du monde" avatar. They make a solidly good beer, and it is easy to get around here, given the fact that they brew it only a few hours away.
 
@ Kaysaar: I hate you, they stopped exporting to Aussie Land because their demand is too high (and if they produce more beer they stop being a microbrewery and have to pay more tax). I am down to my last six pack (of Trois Pistoles).

@ corax: I do that all the time as well. Chivas is about the equivalent of Johnny Black in that it is drinkable in coke but that is about it. My favourite vodka is probably finlandia (or the stuff my mate distills).
 
Jcakes - my wife used to work with a woman from Trois Rivieres, Quebec, the same place as the brewery. Last time she went home I got a mixed six pack fresh from the brewery. However, when I'm looking for a microbrewery, drive an hour to a brewery/restaurant near my parents' house. Budweiser has a local brewery and distribution center about 20 minutes away from home, but they would have to pay me to drink that yak urine.
 
Now i have a moral dilemma for you all!

If a pretzel is covered in icing and various other stuff, is it still salted? and if not can it really be considered a pretzel anymore? and to be honest an iced pretzel sounds nasty,


On a good note however one of the local video stores has 'american' candy and soft drinks. they were out the other day but they have mountain flavours other than the basic dew. i'm very excited about this development
 
I think they are still salted, and delicious.

My son is watching power rangers right now. Its far worse than I remembered!

agree'd. even the second lot after the movie when they got the 'ninja' animal robots were pretty cool.

I bet the green/white guy was sad that he went from GODZILLA to a big white sabretooth to a ....bird..
