Etdlahq Memorial Bar - your shelter from forum crashes

I have a confession to make: The GF watched Live To Dance and I got sucked into one or two of the sob stories. I had to watch The A-Team (the TV show, not the movie) to make me feel manly again.

Been so busy today, volunteering, food shopping and making dinner. I needs me a beer.

my parenting philosophy is firmly in the "babies bounce, she will be fine" ballpark. I mean if they didn't we wouldn't have survived as a species.

come on in kestegs. just stop in the kitchen and make me a coffee. and maybe toast some crumpets, you know where i keep them right?

I like the fact that all the people who make it on those dance/song shows all have a big sob story or are disadvantaged. nobody is like yes well i went to dance academy and now i dance. yep thats about it.

There was a lady on australian idol who went straight from having a baby to the auditions. they put her through just because she was dedicated. i would of abused her and kicked her out before she had even sung for being a moron and a bad human being

Sometimes they're even ridiculous, such as "When I was growing up I was the only kid without access to... strawberry jam." I dislike Simon Cowell a lot, but I recently learnt he was responsible for two of the greatest songs of my childhood.

which were?

but yes he does need a face punch.

here's something interesting. how did you come up with your forum avatar?

Corax is the Primarch of the Raven Guard space marine chapter from warhammer 40k.

my other forum handle i use which replaced corax on all my new forums is Beest. which is pretty obvious, the spelling just means it is never taken

reloader is one of my many handles, because I tend to restart things(especially games) repeatedly until I get so bored with the starting of something that I quit it and never finish.

As for the avatar... well I have D2 icon set that I'm partial to, and I figured Diablo is definitely appropriate for this forum.

Generally speaking though, I tend to go with Vault Boy from the Fallout series as my avatar.

i do the whole reloading thing alot too. i have to force myself not to.

avatar is captain america as he is the greatest superhero ever.

Callie is back asleep but now i am wide awake. grr babies.

Thank goodness. I thought I was the only one that did that.

Which were?

Slam Jam and Them Girls. Almost as embarrassing as revealing I went to see Busted live for my 20th birthday, and sang the lyrics louder than any dumb little kid.

i'm going now. FE has freaked me out a little bit

Right, now we've got rid of the scary Australian butcher we can all relax.

<mixes some cocktails with little umbrellas>

i'm actually still here. playing around with some stuff so i've just the bar open in the background.

it's nice and chilly here this morning. that said i'm wearing boxers and naught else. i love north queensland

that just reminded me. I had to perform emergency open pants surgery on myself at work the other day.

The seam at the back had been going for ages and i kept forgetting to resow it. it split at work so i had to send the young fella out to get one of those little pocket sewing kits. squatted in the far corner behind the benches, whip off the pants and re stitch. was waiting for the lady boss to walk in. would of been a laugh

I think I need to visit Australia someday...sounds like an "interesting " place.

just the bit i'm in.

now i'm watching kick *** eating my failed meatballs..mmm good.

turns out i've never even taken it out of the plastic. i got it from my bro as he accidently bought two. i don't know how you accidently buy two of something. but whatever.

I'm taking a break in my truly riveting literature on oral language development in second language acquisition. And beer.

How's everybody doing tonight?

good. although here it's nearly 2pm. just finished the last of the housework so shouldn't be in trouble when the wife gets home.

meant to be going to donate plasma this after but after eating my failed attempt at meatballs for lunch i don't think i'll be making it. they aren't sitting real well.

and the baby just pulled over her toybin to create a toysplosion.

now i'm going to look at what gear i have to make either a blade fury sin or a poison dagger mancer. hrrrm

The Red Cross wants me to donate platelets, but I'm not sure I can handle that. Needles in each arm is bad!

I'm off to bed, a bit late, but I've been relaxing and watching TV. Goodnight Bar.

I've heard that donating platelets is pretty painful. I'm sure I couldn't do it, I almost pass out every time I try to donate blood.
