AITRUS!!!!
*jumps up and down*
If I weren't so tired I would pick you up and spin you around in circles. But I'm so tired. The maternal parental unit remains in the huge building with confusing hallways and nonsensical parking systems, so I had to do the taking to school again. This time it was much more difficult waking up, even with more sleep than I had before. The younger would not wake up, and wound up getting to the bus stop a full half hour after he is supposed to be there. The other got up and everything, then explained that he had to take a note to the hospital and have the patient sign it, hence explaing his mysterious absence the previous day. He also swore that there was no time for putting gas in the car, that I could take care of it after he was at school. So I dropped him off, circled the parking lot laughing at the local radio morning show, and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, out of boredom I made a larger loop, which took an extra 2 minutes. When I returned he was standing at the appointed meeting place, and demanded to know why I had "taken so long". It was then that I looked at the gas needle, which has dipping
below the E. Great.
The little computer thingy said I had 1 mile left (hooray!), so he pointed at that, said there was plenty of gas, and then told me that he was going to be late. So I drove him to school, then pulled over at the curb and waited for him to get out. But now, the person that had to get to school
right now told me to wait, he was listening to the radio.
But wait, it gets worse. I coasted into the gas station on fumes, put half a tank in, and set off for home. I was planning to take a nap, then alternate between computer and TV, possibly play some GH5, just generally relax. I think after my trevails I deserve a bit of relaxation. The curious lack of dogs barking when I pulled in should have alerted me, but I walked in, oblivious to the fact that something was off. The door was locked when I left, why could I open it? And then the younger greeted me. He was late for the bus, and had walked home. It was then that I killed him.
So now I get to spend the day with
it, which means no nap, no relaxing in a quiet house, just noise, cartoons, and cleaning up the warren he brings with him to the couch whenever he watches TV.
I need a Dew.
