Heh. It's from the march 31st strip about balloons filled with love and toxic gas--one of the funnier ones, I think. Nice sighting. I'm impressed. :) And sheesh. That's cheap for the juice. POMWonderful is about $3.50 a bottle here in Chicago, which is somewhat ridiculous--but I'll still try one next time I'm at the grocery market. Thanks for the recommendation! :)

ooh! Delirium is hot. I highly suggest it for a merc--it makes crowd control a breeze. I put mine in a demonhead for good def/str. using it y ourself can also be really fun, although turning into a doll gets somewhat old after the first few times. The damage is fine, but his hit recovery is abysmal, which is unfortunate.

Anyway, it's morning for me, so a mimosa would do well about now. ...or just an orange juice. :)

Had a chance for a little D2 last night, as I took a couple of my HCL characters out. My barb cruised through, rescuing Cain and killing the Countess. He got a Tal from the Countess, and picked up a Greyform on the way - a very useful early on item, with some resists, a reasonable Def and life steal, and a TC3 to boot.

I then played my sorceress, taking her through the sewers. Things got a bit hairy at one stage, as she was surrounded and being hit hard by an FE group. Something to do with me playing her like a barb. I started hammering down the potions, and eventually teleported away just in time - she had used all of her healing and rejuvs, with only a couple of mana pots left in her belt (and about 2/3 of her life, which wasn't lasting long). She managed to make some Stealth armour, which is great for the fast run, fast cast and mana regen.
 
Took my barbarian to Pat tonight. It was fun and not as challenging as I thought it would be. It wasn't easy, though. Don't get me wrong! But after all the other stuff in the game, Baal is somewhat easier.

I am not sure what I'll do now. I am not sure I can start another character right now. Level 1 seems like a huge letdown. I need uber damage and godly gear! Maybe I'll play some Morrowind for a while. Or maybe Hearts of Iron. Maybe darts! :lol: D2 will never be too far away, though. Knowing me, I will probably be playing a new character tomorrow night! :lol:

Now, barkeep! An icewater here, please. I have to work tomorrow. I will save the party for Friday night!

In Memorium

A large red bear strolls solemnly into the place and all goes quiet as he looks around at the patrons. He walks slowly up to the bear and orders a Glenmorangie 18 yo, straight up, no ice. He calmly places a large jingling bag on the bar. A few stray gold tumble out and shatter the silence as they drop to the floor.

The bear raises his shot-glass

"To Mort. Taken before his time. RIP"

He slams the shot and hurls the glass to smash in the back of the fireplace.

"Drinks are on me tonight!"

The bear picks up the bottle of Glenmorangie and a clean shot glass and quietly walks off to sit in the comfy couches by the fireplace.

Yeah I imagine it would be good but I don't want to use my Ist rune on a merc. It's too valuable to me.
 
Sorry to hear of your loss, PapaBear. It is the unfortunate fate of so many HC characters. I will join you in a drink. :drink:

I do not have as unfortunate news. My HCL sorceress managed to get the Horadric Cube. It was quite exciting towards the end, as Bloodwitch the Wild had cursed her & her merc, and the merc was slain, so she was chased through the tomb by these fast cat-people, while cursed, until eventually the curse wore off, and she risked a quick glance at the boss (who was the only one left), only to see that she had only a sliver of life left & was easy to kill with a quick fireball. It was quite funny to run all that way from something that was only one cast away from dieing!

At least she made it, and managed to shop a couple of useful items for my barb in Act 1 to use.

Whoo, haven't been in here for a while. I'm here to honour the leaving of Lone Wolf (Which I found out about today, because I never check the second page) the only way I know how.
<Takes up the Rubber Maul Lone Wolf gave me and beats the Pinball machine into a fine grey powder with it>

Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Writing my project description about how Src affect bone metastasis, which I know next to nothing about, that will be read by a bunch of people who's been doing these research for over 20 or 30 years and will look at my proposal thinking which imp in kindergarten wrote it, so I can get grant to do my summer project. And it's due on Monday morning, and I got two final exam on tuesday that I have to study hard for.

Life sucks, when all the stuff just happen need to be done at the same time. :(
 
NSXdreamer: at least you know what your project's about... I have less than a month to come up with, well, something. *shrugs* Well, I don't really need a CS degree... maybe I'll just switch over to doing something that can hold my interest for longer than 5 seconds. Although I doubt the uni will like me 'suddenly' deciding I don't want to be there after three and a half years...

To make matters worse it's been very nice weather today, which always makes me depressed because I have no way to really enjoy it... stuck indoors, all alone...

heh I thought about doing CS major too, but economical downturn came a few years ago, scared me out of doing it. :)

But at least you still have almost a month, I have less than 6 hours before I need to switch over to study for my exam. :(

As a member of the Board of Directors at my local RSL Club I've got a busy day ahead. We had dawn service this morning and the boys are all at the club now having breakfast. I'll have to head over at lunch and start the two-up.
