Etdlahq Memorial Bar - your shelter from forum crashes

@Eddie

Angry. xD I don't drink to any real degree. I've never gotten drunk. Mostly because alcoholism runs in both sides of my family. <_<

You guys truly make me feel even luckier to be with my GF. She loves playing video games. And she's played D2. And if I wanted to play some D&D she would probably join me. And she's ****ing HOT.

Me = Lucky as ****.

I'm with you reloader, I have never gotten drunk, at least I don't think I have. I have been borderline before. Good for you for staying away from your family history!

I'm not sure if I really would want my wife to be into video games or not, it would be nice to have the common interest, but there are times when it is nice to spend time appart from each other.

it changes reloader. trust me.

I used to be an alcoholic. Now i'm not, I probably only drink 3-4 times a year now and my new version of drunk is the slighr buzz you get before it gets challenging to work normally.

didn't end up playing d2. i got to the character screen but no further. Mostly i want to play some hordes (tabletop battle game) which is transferred into a desire to play wow (which i won't cos i don't have the time for) which is transferred into the desire to play something similar.

Got a few hours until work so i might try again, thinking either daggermancer ooooor blade fury sin.

Oooo i hear little miss is awake. overnight nappy is better than coffee at waking you up *gross bleh smiley*

also no I don't drink energy drinks, they make me violently ill and purge. don't know why, they also taste gross.

Energy drinks, Coffee, and yes...DEW all make me violently ill, at least if I have more than a serving of one. I do love dew however, that is why I get my fix here at the bar on virtual dew. Plus durf is paying anyways, so who cares if it comes back out in 30 minuets!

Ill? Huh... weird. I love the taste of monster, but the others are Meh.

@corax

Haha, well it just might, but it'll change for the better. :) I've known her for ~6 years now, and I can honestly say she's truly the love of my life. It's fantastic. :D

I'm sorry to hear you were an alcoholic though man. Really. +9,999,999 awesome points for overcoming it. I know how hard an addiction can be. Not to downgrade or anything, because I know alcohol is much worse, but I've been trying to quit smoking for years now, and I just can't seem to find the willpower. I have to keep on trying though, until I succeed.

yeah explosively ill. had one of the apprentices talk me into trying a mother and i got half way through and it all came back up. i get the same though if i have too much of any form of caffeine. Iced coffee is especially bad, but it comes the other way.

now i'm off to work to waste 6 hrs as i did all of todays work yesterday. yay.

Urghh I really need to stop staying up this late. It's almost 3am here.

But I wanted to at least kill the ancients before I went to bed, since I didn't play much today. I pushed it down to /players3 so I could basically run straight to them from the Bloody Foothills. The only quests left for norm are killing Baal and Nihlithak. I also spend an hour or so going over my gear and making changes. Specifically opting for Life and Resists over MF and GF, now that my Fishy is in A5. I know he's a Fishy, but I play recklessly and Frankly more safety never hurt anyone. He's not MFing anyways, he's going for the Guardian title. I wanted to make a Rhyme, but with a lack of Shael I couldn't. So, I made Ancient's Pledge, and an Insight for the merc. I also put Thul/Ral in a 2os Full helm and 3 Rubies in a 3os BP.

Once I find that Shael, I'll have enough Dex for maxblock. It'll mean significantly lower resists for a bit, but the maxblock is worth it.

nm countess should be easy shael IIRC.

Reading stories about rage quitters at games makes me lol.
some guy got stabbed in the face with a pair of clippers by a rage quitter who proceeded to snip off the end of the offending models weapon, eat it then drop the model on the floor and stomp it into bits.

the guy needed a beating. a big one.

I looked at "rage quitters' quickly and thought it said "rage quilters" and had a mental image of angry grandmothers letting out battle cries while quilting...

yeah. i lol'd.

it's morning here just before work and it's that really nice rainy weather were the temp under the blankets is just perfect. gave serious consideration to chucking a sicky.

sadly not going to happen. it sucks to only have 2 butchers in your work place. makes for very few overlapping days where sickies are a viable choice.

Haha, true! But it's a bit slow on /P8 with a Fishy, in those somewhat tight corridors. Still, once I got to her an hour or two ago, I ran her a few times. I got two Hels and a Dol just from the normal monsters outside in the Black Marsh, but even her highest drop was a Ral. (Her quest drop was, and I **** you not, an El. I got an Amn from the chest though)

Anyways... I figured I'd go do some Norm cows, since I'd forgotten about them. Figured I might find a 3os armor while I'm at it that wasn't a BP. Within 5 minutes, a Shael dropped. So, now I'm off to make my Rhyme.

Nice, and just FYI, you should run countess at p1 if you are looking for runes as she will often replace rune drops with items at higher settings.

Yes, rune drops are not affected by player settings. I need to make Rhyme in a higher-level base.

There's alcohol in the fridge, so I'm drinking again. I have this weird thing where I have to finish the bottle. I think it's called 'a drinking problem'.

Absolutely no one on TF2 tonight except some ridiculously good player who just spammed the chat channel with taunts, and challenged my team to kill him. I told him where to stick it and I left. I'll try some D2 but I think I might just end up watching Let's Plays on YouTube.

Hope everyone's having a good Sunday night.

I'm a bit confused on your rune drop statement. Rune drops are affected by players settings.

Watching lets plays is a pretty good way to waste a lot of time, once I get started its hard to stop.

I swear they're not. Maybe someone will tell us in the morning.

I like to watch ones of RPGs, because everyone plays them differently, and ones of games-I'm-intrigued-by-but-will-never-play. It's got to the stage where I can't fall asleep without winding down with a couple parts of the latest LP.

How are you Kestegs? Are you good?

It has been a long time since I last played D2, but I'm with Eddie - I'd bet money that rune drops aren't affected by players x.

My Sunday night has been largely uneventful - dinner, laundry, and I'm writing my classroom obersavtion analysis for my class. I played a few hours of Titan's Quest this morning while my wife watched. For some odd reason she enjoys watching me play RPGs. She watched me play Mass Effect for the better part of a whole day the last snow day we had. I'm not going to complain if it makes her happy.

Edit - I have beer! My night has improved considerably!

The runes are just like items, the player setting affects the chance of a "no drop"

The countess is a bit different, but why are we talking shop in the bar anyways?

I'm Good FE, thanks. My wife will be back in a couple of hours, which is good. I need someone to tell me to go to bed before 5am. Sorry I bailed on the MP last night, I lost my spot in a full game, but it was a little too crowded for my tastes anyways.

My GF would not watch me play games. Sometimes she watches LPs in bed with me, and asks maybe three questions before they bore her to death/sleep. When I had an X360 she played Viva Pinata, and we completed Machinarium together.

I still disagree with Kestegs. NP for bailin' on the Baalin'. Overcrowding means free XP, or do you like to work for it? I didn't even have to change from P8 waves to P3 Baal we were killing so fast and I barely killed anything because I was socialising.

I wish someone would tell me to go to bed before 5AM, but being unemployed for so long I've let a lot of standards slide.

My wife plays some slower strategy games and RPGs, but she doesn't enjoy games that required huge amounts of multi-tasking. She loves all the LEGO games for the Wii.

At some point I lost the ability to stay up past midnight - anything past eleven and I become non-functional...
