Well, there you have it. E3 has been canceled for 2023. Publishers not committing, Organiser Reedpop and the ESA seem to have had issues and a statement released by the ESA read:
"E3 remains a beloved event and brand" and that the 2023 version "simply did not garner the sustained interest necessary to execute it in a way that would showcase the size, strength, and impact of our industry."
Have to wonder if that is now the end of E3?
I have attended about 10 E3s dating way back from 1997 and decided not to bother in recent years. The advent of social media and the growth of the Internet coupled with other events throughout the year have probably put pay to it. Sad but inevitable.
