hey, i'm playing diablo2 (non extension pack)

i'm a level 23 amazon and no matter what i try i can't kill duriel (bug demon in tal raash's chamber, last mission, act2) he freezes me three times and i'm gone. my friend was only level 14 when he passed through this and he had no problems.. is there any reason why i am?

can you suggest anything?

Durial Can be very hard for a beginner because ussually they don't know where to put their skill points and stats. What I would to is read up on some builds and work on that. You should do better. If your still having trouble level up a little bit. You might still die a few times trying to kill him on normal. just remember to use Tps so you dont have to walk all the way back when you die.

Garyn is correct; try lvling up in the Canyon of the Magi or the arcane sanctuary. I too took awhile to kill Duriel when I played the Amazon. I maxed Jab and that helped alot. I'd recommend it. But definietly check the other templates too. Goodluck

Join and 8 Player tomb run

Usually the name will be soemthing like

Tombs Go
Tomb Run 102

You should level up to about level 26 easily. Then Duriel should be a lot easier, try to find someting that makes it impossible for you to be frozen like raven frost ring, or at least something that reduces your cold duration.

Try going in with a Merc to help Tank Duriel that might help too.

Are you multiplayer or single player?

If you are single player then doing tomb runs is still ok, just a lot slower.

Maybe make a game called 'Duriel Go'

usually some high level character will come in and help you kill duriel

that could be the easiest option.

Or state your realm and no doubt one of us can help u kill him, or give u some decent gear.

Is your amazon a bow-a-zon (uses bows)? It's pretty difficult to kill duriel early on with a bow-a-zon (in the later difficulties, your valk will be your tanker).

Most zons put a point into jab for that reason (though if your going bows, you might have put much points into vitality), but I'd probably recommend trying to get other people in the game to help you get past him (if your playing on bnet).
