Dex for PvP Windys?

I'm kinda thinkin of remaking my pvp wind druid to go all vitality, with minimal str and no dex points. Is this a good idea?

Also a related question, can tornadoes be blocked by shields?

No Dex?

That will mean you won't be blocking at all and I'm sure most PvP Wind Druids have maxed Blocking.....Not saying it won't work but I do think you are shooting yourself in the foot if you aren't blocking. I've never PvP'd with a Wind Druid so I can't give you any real advice but in theory, No Block = No Chance.

Last I remember, Tornadoes cannot be blocked but someone may reconfirm that for me.

Anyways, good luck with your PvP build!

Actually for windy vs windy max vita and max block are about the same in dueling. But for overall I'd go max block for ww barbs, and zons.

Tornados can be blocked but there is randomly 1-3 hits in one tornado, so it looks like you can't block them if you get hit once in a tornado.

I do believe duel-claw assasins can block tornadoes, and amazons dodge them, but shields do not. If you're going no block, you're not blocking melee dmg and physical range dmg. As you will face a lot of physical dmg pvp'ers, you won't be as effective in controlling the room.

I tried it just to see and went all vita. If you are dueling other windy's and sorc. the build will work yet if you are even considering dueling any melee or throwers, etc. you are dead in general! I am a vita build person and have always been in the old school on this yet with the wind druid it seems you really do need the block. Test it out yourself and you will see but do not get your hopes up.

Another thing to think of. Even if you are making your druid for windy vs windy or casters there is still skill involved in staying out of harms way.

There are many ways to get the dexterity you need. At around level 90, I am guessing you need around 220 dexterity. Below are some items that help your dexerity.

Maras: +5 Dex
Shako: +2 Dex
Ravenfrost: +15-20 Dex
Dexerity Small Charms: +2 Dex
Elemental Skill Charms with Dexerity: +4 Dex
Heart of the Oak Runeword: +10 Dex
Sanctuary Runeword: +20 Dex
Annilus: +10-20 Dex

Even if you're going for a Life Winddruid, there is always Oak Sage and Call to Arms to boost your life. If you are PvP Caster, I suggest going all Vitality. If you are PvP Melee/Caster, calculate your +Dexterity points and put those into factor when adding dexterity points. Good luck! (I'm making one right now too =D )
