Damage vs Critical Strike
Hey, I'm trying to decide whether to use 'Peace' runeword or an ed/life armor on my Mid Level Dueler, a level 38 Fury druid.
With the ed/life armor, he's got:
2157-4207 listed Fury Damage, for an average of 3182 PvM per hit of Fury.
With the Peace Runeword's +2 critical strike, he's got:
1904-3715 listed Fury Damage, for an average of 2809 PvM per hit of Fury.
Now, I have 15% deadly strike with both via Guilliames, and of course the Peace Runeword gives 25% Critical Strike via level 2 Crit. Strike (I have no +skill gear)
So, my math skills are failing me, I'm drawing a blank on calculating the better average damage. I recall that deadly strike and critical strike don't add up exactly, that theres some weird process involved with figuring your actual chance to do double damage as well.
It appears to me that using the peace runeword will give me better average damage, but I'd like if possible, for some help stepping through exactly how I'd go about finding the specific number average damage with both setups. I also need to factor in after I see the damage listings, the fact that using the Peace armor leaves me with 308 less life.
Thanks a lot!
