To break the monotony of Hell Meph/Pit runs, I decided to spend some time terrorising Normal Cow King with my trapper in order to pick up the few remaining green TC3s I need and the CK set. After a few hours I had found umpteen green TC3s, nine green heavy boots (all Sanders), heaps of yellow studded leather armours and three gold ones; but nothing Cow King related. Have the drop rates for the CK set been changed or have I just been incredibly unlucky?

I heard that the cow king cannot drop the cow king set anymore in D2R. It seems they broke the loot table by allowing him to be killed multiple times. Some randomn musings i heard was that that they might have removed his "quest" drop during the change which allowed the set dropping. The cow king set can still be found in the cow level, just not from the king himself.

One of his friends dropped the chest armor for me. I was surprised because I didn’t think I encountered King Cow yet, and I hadn’t because after I thought that here he came.
