Create Your Own Role Mafia game

Day 3 Ends!

“Welcome to the 85th Annual Meeting of the Tin Foil Hat Society! We have an exciting program for you all. New developments in Tin Foil Hat construction will be demonstrated. As always, vendors from around the world are on hand to deliver to you the supplies and patterns necessary to construct the perfect Tin Foil Hat. Back again after it’s wildly successful debut, the Tin Foil Hat fashion show will begin at 8 pm in Conference Room B. That’s a change from your schedules. Conference Room B. There are a couple of new categories this year to the Fashion Show. Tin Foil Underwear will have a dedicated judging process and awards. Learn how to keep cell phone radiation away from your future kin. Other clothing apparel will be judged as well. We all know how important it is to protect the entrails as well.â€

Someone bursts into the room. He’s screaming. A ruckus forms around the newcomer. As the source of confusion nears the stage, you can hear his words...

“Terrible! It went horribly wrong!â€

He bounces on stage and takes over the microphone.

“Our worst fears have been realized†he gasps, trying to catch some air.

“Bad Ash and I were field testing a new Tin Foil Total Body Suit. We took it out into the real world. Such a mistake. We ended up over in the Low Riders Club convention. They were doing some competitions: loudest car and highest bunny hops. As Bad Ash neared the announcers, weird things started happening.

At first, it sounded like feedback. Then it changed into a high pitched wailing. Soon though.. too soon...we began hear voices. Evil voices. Everyone could hear the voices.

The room became quiet as everyone was listening. Then it became clear: The voices were coming from Bad Ash! Not Bad Ash himself, but from the Tin Foil Suit!. It turned on us. Soon, all the speakers in the hall began to broadcast the Tin Foil Suit’s evil words. No ears were spared. No mind unphased.

The Low Riders didn’t like what the Tin Foil Suit was saying. They were already agitated, but now they had a focus: Bad Ash. Low riding bicycles tricked out in bling kept Bad Ash from escaping while the hydraulic muscle moved in. Unfortunately, Bad Ash was unable to free himself from the suit. He tried dodging the hopping, hungry cars. And at first he did, but wearing 65 pounds of Tin Foil wears you out fast.

It as a 1962 Ford Fairlane, all in gold chrome - even the undercarriage - that got him first. Bad Ash’s leg couldn’t get out of the way in time. A sickening crunch signaled the end. The frenzy was on.

I ran away as fast as I could. The evil words of the evil Tin Foil Suit still audible. Bad Ash, unfortunately, no longer held enough breath to scream...

Bad Ash has been lynched. He was the Reflector. Pro-Town.

Final Vote Count:
Moar (2) - Sathoris, Bad Ash
flubbucket (0) -
Bad Ash (6) - MartinLong, Moar, Caluin Graye, Gwaihir, thefranklin, kestegs

Send in your night actions. Day 4 will start Wednesday at 5pm EST (22:00 GMT). Night actions are due one hour earlier.

Day 4 Begins!

This story has absolutely no relevance to the game:

At one point during role submissions, there was a global lightning rod, a global nexus (randomize all night targets), a bus driver who could switch up to 4 players a night, and a reflector. To top if all off, no roles other than the mafia night kill would target someone at night. No one (not even me) would be able to figure things out. Bad Ash is jealous.

Pyrotechnician died.

Day 4 starts as of the timestamp on this post. D4 lasts the normal 48 hours.

D4 ends on Friday at 5:00 pm EST (22:00 GMT). Votes and daytime actions after that time won't count.

Players Alive:

  1. kestegs
  2. flubbucket
  3. Sathoris
  4. Gwaihir
  5. MartinLong
  6. Caluin Graye
  7. Moar
  8. thefranklin

There are 8 players alive. It takes 4 votes to lynch and 5 votes to lock.

Roles are being randomized. Sit tight for new role PMs.

I was frankenstein and I switched Flubb with Malev, bringing the Paris role back and dumping the Kingmaker out. I can confirm this because I have the Paris role today. Claiming this now because the role is useless now and I don't want us fretting about this any longer than we have to. Let's get the busdriver to claim targets early as well.

Forensic scientist. Took a sample, but do people think I should reveal it before or after bus driver?

Also to make sure it doesn't get hidden below: flubb, when did you choose SI as your BFF?

Went back and reviewed Moar's posts from yesterday. I honestly feel like she is not a good lynch target - it seems like she was trying to scumhunt (even if I do not agree with the results of the scumhunting). It just felt very different from her play as mafia in the last game, and I am more inclined to see her as innocent.

So I went back yesterday and completely reanalyzed posts SI made (CG was the one who noticed this first with an earlier comment on thefranklin). Here are his interactions:

Now I admit this is definitely some speculation in the following, but here goes: SI talked more with townies than he did with his fellow mafia in thread. Also probably rarely questioned fellow mafia in thread. The only proof of this I have is known alignments - he asked multiple questions of Ankeli, BA and Pyro (in one post). This makes me suspect CG, Moar, and ML less - they all have multiple comments aimed at them (although no questions at CG). People he had no interaction with: Sath, thefranklin, flubb - no interection doesn't say mafia, but probably is at least one in here.

There were 3 very interesting things I saw.
1) Post 94: flubb, was this before or after you chose him as your BFF? This was just a very interesting post based off what flubb claimed with his role
2) According to flubb, kegs made it onto SI's scum list for N1. But SI only asked a single question of kegs - which was why use the sun card, which was a very softball question for SI, and that was in D2. This strikes me as very, very suspicious. I remember I suspected kegs Day 1, but others took the forefront and I had almost forgot about it.
3) CG - you called out thefranklin for ahving no interactions with SI. Why did you not mention Sath or flubb in the same manner?

My early list was Sathoris/kestegs. Then BA and Gwaihir got on the list (kestegs got pushed back). Now BA showed town so i think Gwaihir is off the list again. Sathoris never left the list though.

Oh, in response to a previous question by CG - I browsed a previous town game by ML (Sath's story extravaganza game) and compared to this one.

Can't say I saw a ton of differences between the two. Maybe he asked a few more questions in the last game, but it seems pretty reasonable overall.

What do you think is more reasonable? Having the Bus Driver claims before all roles are stated, or after?

I'm curious. Where did this sample come from? The only answer I see is from Solar Ice, which was concluded as caused by Meet Joe Black/Reflector combo. I ponder what your results could have been, and how obvious is it that they were tampered with.

Kegs is still on my radar.

Pretty much. After playing a few games poorly, I've been trying to 'calculate' my responses better. Study the posts more, talk less.

Quite possibly.

1) Poor choice of words, I took a sample from a person, not a body. I had no dead targets I thought worth sampling.
2) Have you ever been mafia before?

Quite possibly.

Right right, I was thinking about the role in the beta version still (I created it). I re-read the vials part, I understand now.

2) Have you ever been mafia before?[/QUOTE]
Nope.

How do you know how many mafia there are right now?

I can't view those tables on my phone, so I'll have to look at them later.

1. We need the bus driver targets before the cootie detector is revealed. I targeted the person who I probably would have made king yesterday (Pyro) had N2 occured. The doc save card is back in the deck then.
2. Quite strange you comment on "how obvious" it would be that it was tampered with. There is absolutely no way to tell. I am not sure if what happened to SI would be considered a crime scene, and the only other vial was N1 with my DNA (reflected from CG) in it. There was no N2 so no one could have tampered with the vial. Gwahir claims to have taken a sample from someone, now he can either contaminate N1 vial, analyze with N1 vial for a positive or negative match, or clean a sample (that removes all DNA from a vial). If he didn't get crime scene data, he could have only collected DNA from someone to store it. Or to see if the person who had prepared the vials previously were bs'ing the town about what was in them (which is what I would have done in Gwahir's shoes).

Agreed.

Hmm, you sent the save card to Pyro. Why would the card be back in the deck? Shouldn't it go to the grave with him?

2. Quite strange you comment on "how obvious" it would be that it was tampered with. There is absolutely no way to tell.
True. Read your entire post and it makes sense. I used the wrong words to describe the situation and on paper, skipped over the no-N2-logic (not possible to tamper the results).

My explained thoughts on the Forensics though:

N1 vial - Investigate: CG ... DNA: thefrankin, Analysis: Needs 2 vials
N3 vial - Investigate: Solar Ice (no other crime scene) ... DNA: (I presume, Solar Ice, CG in the simple case of hitman to reflector)

Other case, ...which if I understand the role correctly would go like:

N3 vial - Investigate: Player X ... DNA: Player X ... Analysis: Compare to N1

I am not sure if what happened to SI would be considered a crime scene,
He was the only one to die at night, everyone else was lynched. Evidence would be left there (hitman maybe at the scene (Touched him indirectly), reflector definitely (touched him) and others? ), thus a crime scene.

Any cards that aren't used are returned to the deck.

Seems like y'all are waiting, so here are my targets:
A. Kestegs
B. Moar
C. Caluin Graye
