Create an Item to make an unused skill more viable!

Now that was very funny to read:
"Their Convictions will eat up yours."

For your information: a Lvl25 conviction is the cap, you can't get more than -150% to enemy cold/fire/lightning resistances.

and in pvp the person who has the higher level conviction will negate the lower level one of his oponent, regardless of that cap.

So you're saying that when a FOH din is fighting a FOH din, and one of them has a lvl25 conviction, and the other has a lvl26 conviction, that the lvl26 will render the lvl25 useless?

I don't buy that for a second, not without some proof or a decent explenation from the more experienced players here

For those poor druid summoners.

Hermit's Roar

Unique Dream Spirit

160%-200% ed
Requiremens -15%
2 to all druid skills
10% to all resists.
4 to summoning skills
+7-16 to spirit wolf
+7-16 to dire wolf
+7-16 to grizzly
25-50 to dexterity
2 open sockets.

Should help the minions survive hell better, and the open sockets should allow the druid to,damage reduction and itd should make it sacrifice viable.

really good suggestion, but think it should be a cap @ +10 on druids, not to make it too godly. imagine dual Shael for 40%fhr or dual ums for 40%all res, pretty nice.

Hm, the same goes for the fire, cold and lightning aura's? And fanatiscism?

So if 2 smiters are fighting eachother, the one with the highest aura lvl will be the only one with an active aura?

I must admit, after years and years of playing this is the first time I ever heard of auras fighting auras leaving only 1 party with actual working auras

Yes a helmet with +22 to grizzly. *Sits in town and casts*

I believe it is because conviction aura appears below the desired target (unlike holy xxx auras, which only appear on the owner) and at the same time, on the aura owner. If another such aura is to function on the same person, only the higher lvl one will be chosen. Only with conviction, we're talking about enemies, not partied people =)

Hehe, cap on druids? It is druid only helm :) Well if you think that the grizzly becomes too powerful give +7 only, but it doesn't get any life, does it? Only damage and since it can't hit meleers it is of no use.

Ah, atlast, the explenation I've been waiting for, now I fully understand it

I really need to start reading  . It would be nice with such a high lvl grizzly, prebuff it and use eni and tele on the dude, cast maxed molten boulder or what it is called:jig: . And let the bear finish him.

I think that helm would be fine with +2 druid, +2-4 summon, and 1-7 in each of those summon skills individually. Even then, that's an incredible potential boost of 13 to any given wolf/bear cast skill, but in all honesty - they need it.

How about :

MindHammer
Unique Battle Hammer (Special graphic - same shape as a battle hammer, but made from crystal, like a crystal sword)
Required level : 45

+1 to Assassin skills
+5 to psychic hammer
25% faster cast rate
1% chance to cast Psychic Hammer on enemies adjacent to an enemy just struck with Psychic Hammer (Sort of like chain lightning, can only hit a given enemy once, so no mass-cow-chains) per level
50% chance to apply physical damage mods to Psychic Hammers (open wounds, crushing blow, but you have to get these mods on your other gear)
Adds synergy to Psychic Hammer : 15% damage per level of Mind Blast

So you get a boost to your psychic hammer, faster cast rate, turn it into a chance at an area attack, and can apply mods like crushing blow to your psychic hammers. Also, you get a synergy in Mind Blast, which fixes some of it's low damage problems. The skill would still be relatively underpowered, but this circlet could make it fun, and actually useable, at least.

hmm

Vestment's of the Ancients
Sacred Armor
Lvl 88
250 Str Req
400% Enhanced Defense
8ll
8ML
5% damage to Life
5% damage to mana
-20 to whatever skill gives hammerdins their hammers
-20% IAS
+30 to STR, DEX, Vitality
+35 resists
Immune to Iron Maiden
Magic damage reduced by 1/2
+100% AR to Demons and Undead

Ok....probably not the most balanced item, but would be perfect for a true tank. Plus, not useable to most cookie cutters or mercs. Str requirement takes away from most classes right off bat. -20% IAS would scare away several barb builds. Still be good for Barbs and Druids, though you would have to really build around STR. May bring back Titan builds.
