Crappiest item around?

Ive wondered for a while what the crappiest item might be...

Its not a cracked eth sash, because if you find it from the first monster you kill untwinked you pick it up and use it.
Its not a soh, because it has produced so much waste of time convincing people that it doesnt do anything...

I want you to think in these lines. If you use the item at any point, its not wortless.

It could be a cracked something that drops at higher levels only, and takes up 6 spaces and generally is crap. But since im not good at drop thingies and whatnot, im asking you for your input.

I would suggest two things:

Stormspire elite unique polearm - very rare and very crappy

Gul rune on non-ladder - not many useful things to do with

A stormspire iron golem?

And a gul is used in fury runeword, so it isnt the crappiest/least used item.

The entire Heaven's Brethen set. Not once have I ever put on any piece of that thing.

Steelshade Armet

Stormspire Giant Thresher

Yea, but i think there are nicer things to golem'ize, like the enigma of a n00b scammer in a "god drop game".

The entire Heaven's Brethen set.
oh - how could i forget that thing...

I should make at some point a character with this set...that will redefine the meaning of (i would prefer to) play untwinked..lol

Chances are that Superdave matriarch his naked/all-passive zon before i reach act 4 hell... :jig:

definatly a thawing potion, regardless of how iced up u get, u will never go out and buy thawing potions (at least ive never done it)

That could be an interesting challenge to beat the game though : a sorc throwing oil potions with maxed fire mastery

Maybe use the poison ones for the fire immunes :azn:

throwing potions
On a new char, I always pick up throwing potions. To level a new char, I goto players8 (sphc) and rush the lightning enchanted rakinishu at the cairn stones. Poison potions easily kill them, and never release the lightning bolts (which can be deadly at that early level on pl8) It can get you to level 12-14 within 5-10 (probably) minutes on a good map untwinked.
Fire are less useful, but poison are a must for early on for me.

definatly a thawing potion
Nope. First time I fight andy on normal, I fill up on antidotes.
First time I fight duriel on normal, I fill up on thawing. They're cheap and give you nearly 75 cold resist with your early equipment. Also during hell you can let poison resist go completely, and let cold down into the low positives and focus only on fire/lightning. Use thawings and that'll make up your final resist even in hell.

Unless I'm getting thawing confused with another potion anyway. :)

My vote is for any cracked item. Not even untwinked will I pick up a white item unless it's a potion/staff/wand/heavy metallic armour (Nice selling price.)
I won't put on a white 35 defense armour/5 defense sash. I'd prefer nothing than use them. I only start picking up things when they're blue or yellow+

Throwing potions are quite good early on  , I've used them a lot on necros and sorcs early on when I had nothing good. They also sell for a fair amount of gold (early game-wise).

My sorc has like 0 rw and no CBF so buying thawing pots helps for running around town; I can't stand being so slow. If only we could teleport in town:grin:

So those pots aren't completely useless. The crappiest item IMO is that set military pick thing. Tancred's something? It's a common drop and it's just awful.

Why no one name the isenhart's case?

Because I use full isenhart ...
For me the crappiest thing is a sc 1 def dropped from Hell baal. Coz u just imagine to get a 3/18/20 and have the temptation to throw this sc in the face of Tyrael.

0 gold heaps (AFAIK it's possible in early act 1 normal while wearing an item with a GF penalty, like Nadir)... not exactly an item, however.

Stormspire. Chance to cast a huge lvl charged bolt WOULD be sweet for melee sorcs, if only it wasnt when you got struck...
One of the most rare items in the game, yet still no reason to equip it.
I have found one, btw.

<insert item name> of craftmanship
ok, it's not a specific item, but this mod maddens me everytime (which is quite often)

So far its a sc with 1 def thats the crappiest. Atleast in my book. A gc with 3 def might be crappier because of the bigger size...
But still, its still a charm... feels weird to nominate a charm to the "crappies item in game". One would expect it to be a ethereal something...
Kinda looking for general crappy items, so keys for assassins doesnt cut it.

Ok the keys were kind of a joke.Amuses me that when an assasin finds a locked chest she can pick it open with her claw or whatever.

How about +stamina sc I think Id rather walk everywhere than carry them.
