Could someone help me figure out an armor ED calculation?

Could someone help me figure out an armor ED calculation?

I'm trying to figure out how ED % on a runeword armor is calculated.

For example I see a 15% superior archon fortitude that has a defense of 1668.

Archon max non sup is 524, sup is 603. The runeword becomes 215% ED, because of the superior, but if you take +215% on 603, it is too high, but on 524, it is too low. So what does it base the calculation off of?

2nd question - I have a 14% superior sacred armor - defense 685. What would that total with fortitude?

Would i just add the superior bonus at the beginning? or at the end of the calculation? i.e. just for the base armor to start from?

EDIT: I figured it out..maybe. Still not equaling 1668.

Fort has "+15 defense" in the runeword lol.

So the calculation would be (603 + (524 x 2) ) + 15 ?

I had him as my avatar for a little while too. Back when the OTF was doing a Muppet theme.

I would've thought (and I might be wrong here) that you'd combine the 15% superior bonus with the 200% ED on Fort - but also remember Fort has +15 Def. I think (again, I'm not an expert) that goes onto the base, so it's:

(524 + 15) * 3.15 = 1697

Rounded down.

If im not mistaken this should be how its calculated.

( 524 X 3.15 ) + 15 = 1665.6 def for the AP

and

( 600 X 3.14 ) +15 = 1899 def for the Sacred Armor

But i have feeling the base defence of the armor increases by one. So the base def on the AP would be 525 and 600 on the Sacred Armor. Redoing the calculations gets you 1668.75 on the AP and 1902.14 on the Sacred Armor.

It is max def + 1 for any armor with %ed, so your feeling is correct:smiley:.

This makes it come out correctly!

This is the formula I used:

603 + (525 x 2) + 15 = 1668

603 = archon 15% defense
525 = archon top range non sup + 1 (524 + 1)
+15 = +15 defense given by fortitude runeword
