Checking for interest in PvP week style event

For those who don't remember, PvP week is community sort of event that where for one week we host PvP games and play vs each other in friendly manner. Community has changed over the years so I don't even know if any old faces are still even around, and with D2R removing LAN play we'd be restricted to last functional patch in D2 - 1.14d.(I don't know if there is any way to do D2R LAN function, but from what I've searched on the net, I haven't been able to find the way).

I've talked privately with Grip and some others that might be interested in this, and it would be best if we had this somewhere January - February the latest, with details on specific week to be arranged here. Before I actually commit to hosting this, I'd just like to see if there's anyone alive and kicking. We've also been considering streaming if there's any interest in that too. So, if you are at all interested in joining or watching or discussing D2 PvP, feel free to tag along to get this underway.

I don't remember how to make chars walk much less how to fight... but sure , count me in

I appreciate the reverse psychology attempt, but I'm afraid this is fake news. Even back in 2013 I barely played pvp, and certainly not now. Old man is old.

I've sent message to col, but I've last heard with him some 20 months ago. Nagi is mia for some years now and nulio is too lazy to set up characters to play (or just doesn't have time to play anyway). Glad to hear there's still some interest in this. As I'm getting new PC next week and starting new job, this week will be mess for me, and in ideal world from 20th onward, or even 27th onward would be best since it's getting quite busy here. Gives me time to set up host as well. How about you guys? What's the timeframe you'd be up for?
 
20th onwards works for me, although I'll be on the other side of the globe again so ping won't be ideal... but still count me in for sure. Starting 3 Feb I'll be on the road for 2 weeks, otherwise should be able to make time.
 
Similar to ffs, the week starting on the 3rd doesn't suit me. The two weeks prior to that should be fine, especially on weekends.
 
Okay, lets put this officially at 27th -> 2nd. Will host the games, but likely won't be doing any streaming so I'll be leaving that to you ppl. To entertain the masses and all.

Are there gearing rules for this? I can't join anyway since I only have HC characters, but maybe I'd look into making a budget SC char at some point.
 
Rules? Can't really find what we used back then, but tl;dr would be don't oversorb and have fun. That's all.

Oh perfect ty.

I've realized that I do have one SC character, a 72 sorc in 1.07. I'll run a couple of souls rituals to kickstart a new 1.14 SC trapper and I'll hopefully be ready for pvp by 2026. ^^

Alright, host is tested and works. Will put the game up in 18 hours from this post roughly, and we'll go see how it goes.
