Ceremonial Bow worth upgrading??

I'm in my second month or so of playing D2:LoD v1.11 vanilla and have been mf running my hammerdin around in order to build up my wealth before really going into other builds. (Thought I admit I do have a frenzy barb being levelled when I'm bored of running.)

Anyway, came across this ceremonial bow tonight and thought I would share it with you guys and see if it is worth the runes in order to cube it into a grand matron bow. Some of the mods are a little weak, but thought I'd at least ask before selling for my gambling habit.

i'd say hold on to it till u get better wpns ie buriza,lycanders,gsa,wf etc..
upping rares takes a fal n an um,which r very useful runes.imo, up them if their mods beat any uniques/sets for the required lvl=)

i tink gsa can beat this at 2 character lvl less plus its much much faster..

I'm not a trader but off the top of my head I think you'd be better off trading for an exceptional unique. Goldstrike Arch for example.

If you were untwinked it might be an upgrade, but twinked, the runes are more valuable.

Edit: Or I could just put a big "DITTO".

Thanks for the input. My supply of bows is really low. They just don't seem to be dropping and I'd like to build a strafezon soon as zons are one of my favorite characters. Guess when you don't have a ton of equipment and you see that 299% ED and some IAS you get a little excited...

I'm currently not trading since I'm pretty new around here. So I'd figure I'll just observe and get a feel for how things work around here before I go off and start haggling over items. Plus, you usually have to have something someone else wants in order to trade for an item you want and I just don't have that kind of wealth. About the best item I have right now is a Metalgrid.:shocked:

My strafer is set with a Windforce and WWS, with a full Mav's set when I want to focus on Frozen Arrow damage. I have a ton of bows in stashes that I won't use, and which I'd be happy to give to you for the price of an e-mail address. Available are:

Witchwild String
Buriza do Kyanon
Goldstrike Arch
Eaglehorn
Skystrike (excellent choice for leveling through Nightmare, I've found.)
Kuko Shakaku
Demon Machine

Other less powerful bows, of course. These are just the ones that come to mind.

I play 1.11, RRM / RWM Softcore, BTW.

Those are some sweet affixes there. Near-perfect Cruel of Alacrity. You need to ask yourself if you are more in need of a good bow than those runes.

But I think this bow has a severe drawback if one wants to invest in it: it can´t be used by 6 of the classes, or by rogue mercs.

In order to fully exploit the amazon bows you need a couple more mods on it. You need +3 Bow skills automod and +2 Bow skills mod for a +5 skills bow... then you need high ED, IAS and having leach on the bow helps a ton.

What you have there is a nice bow... but you'll find a lot better if you look for one.

The automod goes up to +3 bow skills. On a rare you can also have either the Bowyer´s prefix (which adds +2 bow skills) or Valkyrie´s (which adds +2 amazon skills).

i hv e impression dat the bow automods dont stack..
never hv i seen a rare bow with +3bow skills even=P
