Boy, i hate bros

Well... i was finished rushing some nice dude who was going to give me a 14 mx damage jewel just for rushing act 4-5 (she gave it to me too) I was with my skele-mancer. I decided that i was going to wash my face... uhh.. yeh.. So while i was doing that, i went in my living room, chattin around, when my bros girlfreind told me he was playing diablo.. i was like "oh ****, i play hardcore now" I run down, he hears me coming and runs up. Well, obviously he doesnt know that skele summoners cant wack down 10 death lords with a 10 damage wand.

Anywayz, before i kill him, can i have some suggestions of a new type of character i should make? And one that isnt expensive at all, because i am new to hc, and practicly lost all my good items on my necro.

Yeh unfortunatly, hes like 6 years older then me. Would there be any people on USWEST HCL that would wanna start some new untwinked chars?

Best starter chars, imo:

skelemancer (no items needed)
trapsin
- max lightning sentry, death sentry, points in fade, shadow master, max synergies for traps. 1 point in mind blast (very useful!! to convert lightning immunes), 1 point in cloak of shadows.

Also, i was thinking of making a barb as well, not a whirley but i just have somthing in me to make a frenzy or a throw barb, i dont know why, maybe just because i never made one of them in my 2 years of playin

Hey man, sorry about the Bro cause of death. Had a friend who had a Car cause of death. Neither one is good and both have about the same intelligence level, lol.

Whirlwind Barb? Becareful. Had a friend who worked his whirly up to level 90. Started in a run and half way through he got cursed with iron maiden. Dust, that fast.

Of course with any melee character you have to watch out for iron maiden.

I'd recommend a wind druid for HC.

Massive elemental immunity, excellent lfie, huge damage, no need for pots (carrion vine), varied damage, etc.

They play very well untwinked, in my experience.

Don't you have to get to lvl 24 with a Windy just to be able to do any damage... or is it 18?

I don't have that sort of patience, so I usually start with either a Blizzard Sorc, Orb/Fireball Sorc, or a Hammerdin. I've also had some decent luck with my recent Javazon, althought she was semi-twinked.

With Blizzard you can start pumping Ice Blast right away (lvl 6). It does impressive damage all the way up to lvl 24, where you can start completely decimating everything in your path. Just make a 'TalEth' armor and stick some sapphires in your hat.

With Orb/Fireball you can pump Firebolt and Fire Ball early on and get a 'TirRal' staff at lvl 19. Much like Blizzard, you dispose of everything rather handily with Fireball all the way to lvl 30. As soon as you hit lvl 30 the fun begins. Orb is the most overpowered skill in the game through normal and nightmare.

*with both of these builds, if you ever find your killing power to be somewhat weak, you can always just sit back casting Frost Nova and Static while your Mercenary cleans up (Act 2 Defiance or Prayer preferrably).

Hammerdin really speaks for itself. There's a guide in the Strategy Compendium.

Javazon can be kinda slow until you get Charged Strike.

Tornado is lvl 24, but a druid cap with +X to fissure will get you there speedily.

Id say go with a telsadin pally. Get civerbs and upgrade to cleglaws get some decent equipment and you will be doing 1k around level 30.
