Hey I have cold soso that uses spirit monarch and I was wondering how to calculate block rating! do I add up shiver armor bonus to monarch block rating and then use that block calculator or what?

Use your shield's base block% (42% for a monarch on a sorc), then add any bonus to blocking % to it (from mods on stuff such as Guardian Angel). Plug in your expected clvl and dex.

Shiver Armor has a defense bonus that has nothing to do with blocking.

Btw, don't try to block with a Spirit monarch...

you'd need 337 dext to reach max block with a spirit monarch at level 90... if you want to go maxblock, you really need to get a shield with +%Blocking like whitstan's guard, sanctuary, stormshield or viscerautant.
