Blizz/Baller

As my first sorc since I've come back, I decided to go with the Blizz/Baller, the same build i got from the library, http://www.purediablo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=214093

At the moment my equipment is as follows:
Helm: Nightwing
Armour: Ormus Robes
Weapon: Eschuta's Temper
Shield: Spirit Monarch
Gloves: Magefist
Boots: War Travellers
Belt: Snowclash (when lvl 80 Arachnid Mesh)
Rings: 2 x SOJ
Ammy: Mara's
Charms: Annihilius, Storch and 1 Cold Skill Charm

Merc: Act 2 NM Holy Freeze
Weapon: Doom (when lvl66)
Armour: Shaft
Helm: Gaze

What other equipment could i use instead of, to more benefit my blizz/baller and merc?
What items have you got equipped for your blizz/baller?

Why are you giving your merc a doom? I don't think the holy freezes stack...

I like getting an EFort for my merc along with an EInfinity to get a good survivible merc with jacked damage against CI/FI's (and infinity will help with fball damage)

If you switch out the eschutas for a Deaths Fathom you could greatly boost up your Blizz damage too and all you would need @ lvl 80 to reach the 105 bp is a FCR ring (which would replace a soj which you would give me :grin: )

I got doom because of the - 40-60% enemy cold resistance plus it has some other nice mods as well...(Does the - cold res work on CI monsters? I read something about this, can't remember where and what it said) Efort?? Ethereal Fortitude?? How does infinity help with fball dmg? Atm, I have nothing to trade for Death's Fathom, and I'm on NL, so it's gonna be harder to find someone who's trading! I think 95% FCR would be plenty, I need some more FHR, only 55%, damn stygian dolls, probably can get more with some charms!!!

No, the minus res from Doom does not work on Cold immunes. It also doesn't apply to your cold attacks, either. Unlike what would happen if the Merc had Infinity, which would lower the Cold/Fire/Light res for all affected monsters through the Conviction aura.
