Best weapon for grief

I was wondering if I should use a zerker axe, or an ethbugged phase blade. I think the sword is better. But I've been seeing more axes than phase blades, so I was wondering if there was something I was missing.

Phase blades cannot be eth. Well, unless they're rare and upped from eth Dimensional blades.

For Grief, pb is preferred for pvm since it's indestructible (meaning no repair costs) and the fastest base weapon. For pvp BA is better because of better range and more dmg, although there may be exceptions depending on the rest of your gear.

A BA would be better for WW as well, even in pvp because range is important with respect to that skill.

Grief in two-handers doesn't make sense because there are runewords which would deal more damage while being faster, like BotD in an eth CB (or Death if IAS is irrelevant).

When worn one-handed by a barb, a Grief CS will not meet the final WW breakpoint if its IAS is below 39 and a BA will be the better alternative anyway. It deals just 0.5 less damage on average, but has lower reqs and is faster (needs 34+IAS for the final WW breakpoint). Big swords look better on a barb than axes, however.
