Best leveling areas

Im just wondering where the best leveling areas are? I have heard that act4 chaos sanc runs are better up to lvl95 and then baal runs are better. Im not sure about this I heard it a long time ago, but Im seeking to get my HC barb to lvl99

never heard that. but i definetly wouldn't venture into CS for lvl'ing with a barb. even SC.
probably the swiftest way to make lvl 99 would be the shortest run/ teleport(charges) to the throne room. kill the minions on p8 then repeat. could be mixed with MF gear and killing baal on p1 for good shot at gear. but wouldnt recomend that in HC
pindle can lvl approx lvl 90 characters fairly quickly ive heard. you'd just have to watch out if hes FE and if the garden wakes up.

Well using that guide. at lvl 94 you get on average 6630 exp per monster in act 4, and in act 5 on average you get 5568 exp per monster. However, thats for the act average, for just WSK v. CS, i think the WSK would come out on top, and there is often more monsters on the way. Just teleporting to baals minions would be a good idea for speed, but you'll be losing out on alot of EXP on the way.

Killing the minions constantly at a fast speed would outdue running there and killi ng along the way.

Getting to 90 isn't particularly difficult. Above 90 you have a few different options.

Running Pindle is still reasonable XP, even in the low-90s. You have to do hundreds, sometimes even thousands of runs, but they're fast and safe.

Faster, but more risky are Baal runs. From 90 to 95, Baal's minions give good XP but you won't get much XP from Baal himself. As you get above 95, the equation reverses itself. You get progressively less and less XP from minions, and killing Baal becomes your main source of XP.

It takes 290 million XP to get from 98 to 99. At players8, you will get appoximately 90,000 - 100,000 XP per Baal run. So it takes about 3000 Baal runs to get that last level.

I dont want to guess how many baal runs youve done in your time icebird, im sure if you knew you'd weep and wonder if youve been wasting your life.
So, before lvl 95, you dont recommend killing baal, unless your MF'ing as well?

Up to lvl 94 I recommend Pindle, he's the safest source of experience. At these higher levels its not only the rate at which you kill and the players setting, but the amount of deaths becomes very important as well. My sorc died two times last week, without being able to get my body back, that cost me 44 million exp at level 95. Thats about 50 Baal runs for me at this moment, but at lvl 98 you add hundreds of runs/death.

Getting to 99 with a barb is difficult I think, they will die eventually due to IM. OK knights are present in the CS and WSK, so no difference there.

I heard that diablo runs can be very efficient, but maybe the advantage is only on battle.net. You always know the layout of the CS, so you TP fast to the three seal bosses, and they are the only ones you have to kill to empty the CS. In single player we have the same map all the time, so it does not cost a lot of time to find the Throne Room.

Well so far Ive reached lvl 91 with baal runs, I think I will try pindle runs because almost every baal run I do almost gives me a heart attack when Im down to 200/3000 hp and have to save and exit quickly.

EDIT: And I cant afford to die because Im HC :/

Bob: I've actually done very few Baal runs compared to a lot of people on the forum (cow runs are a whole different story). My highest characters in 1.10 are a javazon, who reached level 92 by levelling almost exclusively from Pindle runs, and a hammerdin, who is about about halfway to 91. He's getting about 2 million xp per players1 Baal run, so they're good experience even at low players settings. If your goal is purely levelling, you can do the minions and skip Baal and you'll get most of the XP. After 95 or so, you definitely have to kill Baal to get any experience.
