The first stash is from leveling my AT sorceress from 95 to 96 in the CS which was sort of a dry run to see how Delirium worked there. I have to say I can only remember one instance where my merc got transformed and I have not experienced any crashes at all. That was with a HF merc so this is most likely the strategy I will take with my UT99 sorc. I also forgot to switch back to Might before rolling a new AT map. :rolleyes:

The second stash is from AT before and after the leveling. The Earth Shifter and the Felloak are grailers, the Giant Skull has 1os and the HoZ is perfect. Earth Shifter, Felloak and my third SoJ all dropped the same day as the Zod, wtf?

The last stash is from Cows and of course the Horns are a grailer as well. The other SC is 28AR/17 Life :)

All in all this brings me to grail -12. One of my remaining grailers is Warpspear which lives in the same TC as the Fetid Sprinkler. I consider that a very bad omen :D

The Fortitude and the CoH were for my time leveling in the CS. In an unexpected turn of events my merc was wearing the CoH and I the Fortitude, just seemed safer that way ;)

I feel vindicated for making the Faith in a Diamond Bow, the worst case scenario happened but I will still be able to reach 7fpa and equip Fortitude at the same time. I already made a Bowazon for this occassion and going from a 60 max. dam Composite Bow to a Harmony to 250% ED GSA 'Shael' and finally to Faith was sick to say the least. She is currently at NM Baal just casually murdering p8 waves with her Harmony merc :D

I have a spare Cham and I won't be putting one in a Shako any time soon so maybe I will make the ultimate sacrifice for the RW grail ... o_O
 
Wow, Zods are getting more common again it seems. Congrats !!

Spare Cham? RW Grail? I hope you are talking about Doom. Such a tremendous runeword.

@Babyhell Yep, that's Zod number two! I don't know wether this qualifies as the luckiest drop of the year though. What about Albatross' Tyrael's, Nanomist's Fathom, Longingfordeath's triple Cham, your JMoD or all those Gripphon's and DWebs people seem to find on their UT99er chars? :D



Funny thing: my Bowazon got normal Rakanishu to drop the Felloak again, I didn't even have to run AT for it :rolleyes:

Okay, but it's a weird one:
  1. 2/20 Assa Tiara dropped by Hell Meph that got 2os from Larzuk
  2. Zod + Zod (AS+AT)
  3. eth Gripphon's
  4. 238% ED, 14% LL, 5 frame cold duration, eth Reaper's Toll
  5. Five times Caddy with 4os (Chance 5 times 4os is 1 in 32...)
How many such 'lucky' drops you notice depends on how much you look for patterns and how many items you consider picking. So some people might consider themselves unlucky but really they could just be unaware of how unlikely something actually is.

I still consider myself unlucky to get eth Gripphon's yet it's rarer than the actual thing. I guess rarity and usefulness don't always overlap. :p


Maybe this is how I want my top 5 to look?
  1. Perfect Gripphon's
  2. Perfect Fathom
  3. 10/37 MPK ring
  4. 3/20/3os Cold/Fire Circlet
  5. 1.07 Ohm
A little bit more utopic than I'd care to admit :D

Uh, I could compete in that! 2019 has given me a LOT of nice drops so far, except for Cham / Zod or any kind of unique Sacred Armor...
I'm not at home, but I can add 5 or 6 Deaths Web in 2019 (1 or 2 more from 2018) as well as 2 Griffons, 2 Mang Song a DFathom and an ethereal Astreons...

And we don't count cheap trash like Windforces and Grandfathers, right? :D:p

In the end, the duplicates don't really matter for me. I now am a year and a half without any unique Sacred Armor and no rune higher than Jah. That bugs me alot :(

Edit: btw i value one zod as high as my entire yield, let alone two zods... And a JMod as well as a Tyraels are things that are far beyond my loot IMHO!

AFAIK something like this doesn't even exist (at least in modern patches)?

My S&U wish list is mostly "nice to have":
  • Tyrael's to finish grail
  • eth Stormlash
  • eth 3os Tomb Reaver
  • Nova Ormus
  • high roll DFathom
I'd be much happier about any of these though, all craft/rare/magic:
  • 2/20 IAS/3 MPK/adds caster craft Java gloves
  • +5 Nova/FCR/2os orb, MPK would be awesome as well
  • +5 Blizzard/FCR/2os orb
  • 2/15+/MF Barb amulet, 2/20 would be great either way
  • 4os magic Monarch with useful adds (JMoD, life, why not eth/self repair :))
Runes are whatever :) personally I'd value any of the above items easily above Zod tbh...

Correct, you can only get +3 to a single sorceress skill tree on magic items and magic items can only have 2 affixes in total, so you could get

+3/20% FCR OR +3/3os but not both.

You can however get a +3/20% FCR and Larzuk it for a 50% chance at 2 sockets.

EDIT:

The best you could hope for is something like this:

@ioupainmax What I meant was a +3 to Cold OR Fire Skills, 20% fcr Tiara with 3os. The first two can spawn in any version of LoD if I'm not mistaken so that in 1.07 you should be able to get 3os from Larzuk.

Maybe a 1.07 player can clarify this? Also what would be chance getting 3os in that Tiara, 1 in 3 or 2 in 3?

In any case this should beat a Nightwing's, if not in damage, then in style :D

I know that ^ - but I didn't realise you were talking about 1.07 for Larzuk quest reward...
 
1.07 Larzuk quest reward can put up to 4 sockets in magic item... unfortunately circlets, of all types, have max 1 socket in 1.07...

Also, anecdotally, good magic circlets are fairly uncommon in 1.07... I mean, they may not be raining in 1.14, but you could count on being able to find something useful in an amount of hours playing that wouldn't be totally unheard of. I think I've found a dozen circlets in 1.07 I would, under normal circumstances, consider using a Larzuk quest on (I'll forward them, one day...). Quite a few more decent rares than that, but hardly any good blue circlets.
