Auradin Uber Set-Up?

Here is my proposed set-up for my aura and Merc. Any suggestions

How does that sound? I was unsure on a couple of them. I wanted to keep Physical damage to a minimum in case of IM thus I'm just using one point to Zeal as my main attack.

You need crush blow and smite against the bosses, zeal against the minions.

Get goblin toe boots/gore riders maybe use LW for huge crushblow.

Hmm. Possibly? I haven't had any experience in killing ubers, but I can only spare a few points into smite or holy shield. With a switch of Grief and HoZ, I could dish out about 2k damage with smite.

Do you think that would be more effective enough to ignore my whole build and just do smite?

I'd definitely throw in some crushing blow stuff and dwarf star for ubers, but I don't think I should take a whole step outside of my build.

Does anybody know what the Ubers' resistances are like anyway?

If I put it this way: Sorcs don't stand a chance versus ubers. They dish out quite a bit of elemental damage, and it does not tickle them.
The reason why people use smite is that it does not get interrupted and pretty much always hits. This means you don't need any attackrating. As long as you get lifetap from somewhere, you will not die in Tristram.
Crushing blow is the only way to successfully kill them, unless you want it to take an hour or two. The important thing with smiting is not the damage, but the crushing blow. Removing 1% of one million hp's would be the same as 10000 damage.
To be honest, the most effective would be ditching the entire idea, but that is boring, since it will make you just like everybody else.
Anyway, no matter what you do, you WILL need lots of crushing blow.

Btw, that merc will be toast. Just like any merc. Never rely on mercs in there.

Ha, I love how this game has changed from creating an all around powerful and durable character to just fitting yourself to kill ubers. The strategy basically sounds like this. If your not a smiter, try your best to be one.

When I wrote this I didn't intend him to be just an uber killer. But anyway, I'm gonna have lifetap, and Crushing Blow, but I guess ITD doesn't work on bosses. Dab nabbit!

Is there anywhere that I can find the stats on the Ubers?

It's just some minor gear changes when you step into trist. Grief + dracs + gores should do more than enough. Heck, even a hammerdin can do ubers with ease if you put these on. And yes, you are smiting them, regaredless of what your char is outside trist. Smite is the #1 anti-uber killer, just like static is the #1 boss killer, and corpse explosion is the #1 room cleaner, and how every pally/sorc/necro should have 1 point in it.

P.S. Watch your resist unless you are running conviction, which you should be doing as an auradin.

P.P.S. Sorcs CAN do ubers. Zeal Baal, zeal Diablo while dropping Blizzards on him, and get a bunch of revives and stack them on Meph while you Blizz him to death. More trouble than it is worth, but it is possible.
