Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I re-downloades java AND gomule, Now when i try to open it the black box flashes and says

"Could not find the main class" Then it has the path to gomule "Program will exit"

I tried the thing with cmd but it says that java is not recognised as an internal or external command

If i cant get this to work ill just use ATMA but i find gomule to be much easier when trying to move many items at the same time

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

While I was reading the ethereal grail progress thread I found this rly nice addon for gomule made by jjscud and wanted to share it with you all:

http://diablo.jjscud.com/flavies/EthGrail110.txt

It works very simple:
-put your ethereal grailers in 1 stash
-go to project>preferences>and change at data file standard.dat into the ethgrail110.txt file (you can download the file into your gomule folder, or even use it directly from jjscud's website)
-open your ethereal stash and do: single flavie report

Now you will have an awesome ethgrail flavie report and can easily join the etherealgrail if you would want to do so, without having to count all your eth grailers manually.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Well, now that I have my fancy new Mac (v10.7.4), I've been hankering for some D2 action.

I've been able to install D2 and D2 LOD with the help of jamesixgun excellent D2 for Macs guide. Now, the problem arises when it comes to getting RWM to work.

I've downloaded the 1.13d zip file and dragged it into my PlayOnMac D2 folder, no problem there.

Now here's where things start to diverge for me: I've opened up PlayOnMac and selected the "Create a shortcut" option in the right menu. I now see a .app file on my desktop called Diablo II.app. I then renamed it as Diablo II RWM.app Is it supposed to a .app file? Because I don't see an option to "Save the shortcut" as james says I should do.

I then went and opened the shortcuts folder in my PlayOnMac folder and...I see an unix file I can edit but it's not called Diablo II RWM, it's just "Diablo II". Any suggestions?

What was your method of checking access? Using the "effective permissions" inquiry may show that you have full control since you are a member of the local administrators group (COMPUTERNAME\Administrators), even though that full control only applies when running something "as administrator". You need to additionally grant full control either directly to your user account or to another group which you are a member of.

As a quick check if you have the access set up correctly, go to the folder using explorer and right click... New on an empty spot. If you see the full selection of new files to create, you have elevated control. If you see only "Folder" with the little shield security icon (as shown in the attachment), you only have limited access.

Yeah, i switched to effective permission. I can't figure out what the "fail to backup" is and how i solve that.. It's marked auto-backup.. Weird.

GoMule tried to make a backup of your characters inside the Program Files folder. It failed, that is why you received the message. It is only a concern if you may use the backups GoMule makes. If you have another way you backup, say copying the saves folder somewhere periodically, then I would not worry about it much. However, if you do not please read below for a suggestion on how you might fix it.

If you are up for it I would try installing the game outside the Program Files folder and see if that helps. I suggest trying to moving it before you try reinstalling it as you might only need to move the folder if you have 1.12a. Just remember to move your saves if they are in the virtual folders.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I have zero idea why it happens, but it appears this particular jewel can not be read by GoMule, whereas it works just fine in ATMA. It dropped in 1.10a, before being ATS'd to 1.10s and converted to 1.13d. Having it on a character or in a stash causes that particular file to read as "Disconnected" in GoMule, despite every other item I converted during this process working just fine. Any thoughts?

Raven Eye
Jewel
Required Level: 49
Item Version: 1.10+ Expansion
Item Level: 59
Fingerprint: 0x5c41d732
GUID: 0xffffffff 0xdeadbeef 0x0
+6 to Maximum Damage
Lightning Resist +20%
Adds 1-94 lightning damage
Replenish Life +3

EDIT: lol. Just noticed all these things read "deadbeef" in ATMA.
EDIT 2: After a quick test, it seems all jewels from 1.10a are doing this. (Sample size: 3. >_>)

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

So I just received a stash that's supposed to hold ~50 mil gold from Krupa. However, I can't seem to access said gold.

I load the d2x file and open a character to open the Bank of Atma. What am I missing?

What is the level of the character? Prior to 1.13 we had level defined gold limits in stashes and such. GoMule and ATMA were never fixed for 1.13 characters. Judging from your post you received this mule in a trade on the forums? If so I can help you with editing your gold amount in ATMA or GoMule to reflect this. I am going to reference a previous post that I made for this.

Edit: Please use this with Thy's approval. I do not want to get into trouble for having you do this and there is a better way. Thanks.
Transfering money between GoMule and ATMA

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Oh, it is not a character, it is a .d2x file called "clipboard.d2x". Your suggestion looks like it should work anyways though. I'll check with Thy, and try it out if she agrees with the procedure.

Thanks!

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Can anyone point me in the direction of the freeweb site that is used to host flavie's? I google freeweb / s and then I'm lost, there is multiples that look right, but I have no clue which is the one to use.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I registered for this one a few days ago. I think that is the one you are looking for. However, there seems to be a 7 day waiting period after you register, before you can upload Html.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I downloaded GoMule last night to try it out, However i've had troubles with my characters not properly updating with the changes made in the interface. When I take items off of a character to put in a stash, the items are not taken off of the character in question in game. GoMule still shows them as being gone and I can even take them and put them onto a different character and the item will show up, however it is also still on the character that it was taken from. All through this GoMule displays the character panes as if all the changes made are successful.

After giving up and playing for a while, enough to get 2 levels on one character I went back to fiddle with it some more and the GoMule interface displays my character as it was before, 2 levels lower without the addition items I'd gotten. I've searching for other save files to make sure both diablo II and GoMule are reading the save files but there don't seem to be any duplicates, at least not that I found. Does anyone have any insights to my problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you are trying to use Gomule while D2 is running. If that is the case then make sure to save and exit before using Gomule. You can stay in the menu, just don't have a character in a game. Running D2 and Gomule at the same time is called Hotmuling and you have to be careful as it will create dupes if you do not take the proper precautions.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Very easy to create dupes this way. Kestegs is most definitely right with what's going on here. One thing you should notice is that ~ every 5 minutes in game time you should have gomule update the files accordingly, because the game autosaves about that often, iirc.

hotmuling is often used for Gheeds (because you can only carry one - though not everyone does this), and it's not a good idae in general to try it for anything else, anyway, since you're bound to screw up muling over something like a gem or rune which don't have fingerprints, and therefore you can't determine how many things you duped, for example.

I have a question about this, actually.
I know there is some feature to delete all duplicated fingerprints. Does this remove ALL copies of the fingerprint, or all but one?

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I was saving and exiting to the menu between making changes on gomule, but I didn't actually close down gomule. If that's my problem then how do I go about fixing it? Even if I remove my character from the project and re-open it the status of that character is still what it was when I first downloaded gomule, without all the progress I've made since then.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

That's kind of weird. Perhaps you opened up a different location of your character? Did you have your character copied somewhere else?
