Arreats Face

I would like to know the best MF place to find a Arreats Face, Note that I do not have ANY mf at all :(

And what should i socket my arreats face with? (perfect topaz for MF)??? or some damage jewels, i can't decide lol

My friend told me he got 1 from his first hell mephisto kill but this other guy told me to just keep running nightmare meph (does nightmare meph even drop arreats)

and i've read about lower kurast running and have seen glided shields continously dropping from armour racks and my brother said he got a HoZ once from armour rack (is this possible)

If it is possible, then is there any armour rack that can have a chance to drop arreats face??

Hell Mephisto and Hell Andariel (assuming you Quest-bugged her). NM Mephisto is a pretty bad target for Arreat's Face (but yes, he/she/it does drop it).

I like putting %ED in mine. If you want to MF, I'd rather take Shako, even for a Barbarian.

Yes, you can get HoZ off an armor rack. I'm pretty sure you can rack Slayer Guards, so yes to that too, but I would rather just run Andariel/Mephisto.

quest bugged = like when it says you cannot complete this quest or something? but you still kill the boss and get the quest complettion drops (im i right?)

also I do not know how to quest bug lol i already completed hell meph, and hell andy all thats left is hell baal and hell diablo

Actually no, to quest bug Andy all you need to do is talk to Wariv in the same game that you kill her the first time. You will know if she is bugged because she almost always drops rare or better the next time that you run her. This is a bug that only seems to effect Andy. The other way, 'cannot complete this quest', works for all act bosses. Once you complete the quest that bug is done for.

err, NM Mephisto has the best drop rates in the game for all the Exceptional Class Specific Uniques (things like Titans Revenge, Arreats Face, Bartuc's Cut Throat, Occulus etc).

it's just you won't get an arach sash off NM Meph while you might get one, eventually, off Hell Meph.

I'm getting consistent results from two independent sources that say otherwise.

yeee i heard that nightmare cows drop good stuff as well :p
and ladvarian can you please explain in more detail how to quest bug andy (don't talk to warriv??) I don't understand lol

I have a lvl 60 avenger in act 1 hell I don't think I talked to warriv yet, can you tell me how to quest bug andy :D

Quest bugging Andy:

Talk to Warriv and go to Act II after you kill her for the first time. She will be permanently bugged and always drop a quest drop.

I'm gonna stick with my suggestion of Hell Andariel/Hell Mephisto for Arreat's Face.

so these are the steps to quest bugging andariel

1. talk to warriv
2. kill andariel
3. talk to warriv to go to act 2

once you go to act 2 can u save and exit ? :p

No.

Only steps 2 and 3 are needed. As long as those 2 are in the same game (assuming by "kill andariel" you meant "kill andariel for quest"), congrats you've bugged her.

o so after i kill her and immedietly talk to warriv and go to act 2, the quest will be finished but she will be quest bugged therefore giving a quest drop everytime after???

also how do I know if she's quest bugged lol :p

Yes, that's why most people bugged her without knowing it.

When she is not quest bugged she will drop utter crap almost every single run. If you see sets/uniques on a semi-regular basis, you've bugged her.

basically you kill andariel for the quest, then the first thing you do is talk to warriv and go to act 2. you get quest credit but she drops a quest drop every time you kill her after that.

ohhhh i think my WW barb already quest bugged andy without even knowing it LOL
cuz everytime i kill her she doesnt always drop a set or unique but she drops like consecutive 4-6 rares

hell andy is my rare whore.
why do you want a-face so much, cuz g-face(orphan set helm guillaumes face) is also a super nice helm, especially when yer dmg is poor. the hole set has pretty nice mods also.
to bring up survivabuillity socket it then place an um in it, if not um a ptdiamond...bamf rare jewel maby.

Running a combination of Andy/Meph is probably your best bet. I just got an Arreats off Andariel a few mins ago.

you should just trade for one... they cost like lem and it beats running an average of 4500 hell bosses to find one (though i have found two doing such runs).
