Running Baal minions @ /p8 is incredibly fun (so long as you can get there quickly). FA demolishes everything and holds them in place. The ML from what I had available was sufficient to keep the bulbs at full, and a potion was generally needed to get through wave 2's skeletons (which went down quickly with exploding arrow, surprisingly).
Norm/NM was /p8 all the way except bosses and Ancients.
Hell was /p1, and most of the way it was one-hit-kills (from either arrow).
Like most bowazons, she is a terrible single-target killer.
Her physical damage was pitiful.
This is the first zon I have ever played for any extensive period without Razortail, and I didn't miss it. I liked having the additional max mana and leech from Gloom's Trap, I guess.
CoH/Enigma > Ormus's Robes from a pure damage perspective. The gains from Ormus are de minimus, and its additional stats are lacking compared to what CoH/Enigma/etc. offers.
This gal was twinked to the gills. Set-up from clvl 42 to clvl 67 (when the circlet and everything else went on) was Lyc's Aim (which actually has more physical damage than Ice)/Vipermagi/P-Crown/similar gloves/+1 zon ammy /w ML, etc.), and I was a little worried in that it was taking more than a few arrows to kill most things in A5 of NM. Turns out I was just missing the Infinity, which like most elemental characters, does wonders.
FA/EA does wonders in tightly packed groups because of pierce plus their AoE exploding damage. Ice's frost nova is a nice touch, as is its Holy Frost aura, but they're more style points than actual damage-doers. Example: Act 3's Flayer Jungle was a riot to walk through.
I wanted dearly to use Nightwing's, but the mods from that circlet were too good to drop it for the additional damage (which wasn't needed for PvM questing; would have been nice for Baal minions to speed them up, at great survivability cost).
Maxing damage on this character, or making it more mobile with Enigma + 70% FCR /w switch, is frustrating because you're trying to fit so many different types of mods into a limited number of slots (and one less b/c of the use of a bow). Facets aren't really an option if you want to hit 8 fpa (75% IAS; 20 of which comes from Ice itself). You need to get ML from somewhere, and your physical damage is quite low to start out (hence HW is a great ammy - skill, IAS, light res), and so SoJ/BKWB/Mara's/caster craft ammy is out. Nightwing's, a great helm, isn't a great option because it needs an IAS socket and it lacks what is otherwise available via a circlet (which is the one non-Ice piece of gear I think drives this character).

From what I see, you have like 65% Pierce with this gear on and only 1 point into Pierce as you stated. Huge upgrade I can suggest is using Razortail belt as standard belt to get 100% Pierce (you probably have to put 2-3 or whatever points to Pierce to nail 100% total along with Razortail). Pierce is amazing skill. When I compared some amazons with like 85% pierce vs 100% pierce, it really felt different. If you really have like 65% pierce, then you should really feel nice damage spike once you put Razortail on. You will lower your mana leech, true, but you will kill faster (you will feel it) and will need less mana in the first place.
Even if you plan using Enigma, I'd still use Razortail as main belt because 100% pierce is just that good. For teleporting variation you would need fcr circlet of some kind if you want to really optimize your build the Enigma way.
The Ice indeed has terrible rolls. Better make yourself a second one . The rest of your gear is very good though. Especially the circlet and the boots.
I would also think that 100% pierce will do a lot more for you than you think.
Visited my Dad's and found my old copy of D2 laying around. My brother also has a copy and as we now live so far away we will be teaming up against the armies of hell once more!
The plan is to players 8 through the whole game untwinked, myself playing an assassin and him playing a druid.
It will be on SC, I am planning on doing a trapper and my brother is leaning towards a wind druid, both using act 2 mercs.
I would imagine there shouldn't be any immunity worries as i will have adequate fire/light and adequate phys/cold from the druid. Mercs should be able to soak up most damage, especially with an oak sage as a buff.
I don't foresee any real problems, just wanted to see if there could be any good help from the oh so faithful forumites
