Adria - Inventory Management System

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

That's strange, sadly I don't have windows 7 and can not give you much help on getting it to work there, but it should be possible as there's been a few previous posters in this thread that got it working.

I'd suggest PMing those users (BKC and Pyrates among others), I'm sure there will be someone willing to help.

Yeah it is kinda strange, seeing as the previous version is working perfectly, without problems. May i ask what is some of the first things the program tries to do when it starts (I'm a programmer by proffesions, so you can get technical if you need) that may help me troubleshoot my problem? I would take a guess that it tries to establish a database connection, which could be the reason for the failure... or something else entirely.

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

There's a damn lot that it does at start up, hard to tell where to start without any error messages to look at. Have you checked the Adria.log file in the data folder, does it say anything?

It does however feel like it should be the codejock controls that don't start properly since you said:

"trial dialog shows"
That's actually not supposed to happen.

Are you 100% sure you've got the correct version of the controls? (13.0.0)
The program will not work with the latest package from codejock so has to be the one linked in the first post. (they've taken that version down from their website)

In any case justaplayer is more knowledgeable about everything that has to do with the the initiation of the codejock controls and may be of better help then me on this issue,

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

I'm positive it is the right controls, as i downloaded them from the first post. My guess would have been them too, but trying the samples from the codejock packages worked fine, no problems there. It doesn't even create a log file, it doesn't get that far.

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

If it stops before that then it may be the keyhook initialization. Have you installed the program to a folder where it may use such a feature? (windows or program files folders only afaik)

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

First i installed it to the program files folder, it didn't work from there, then i tried moving it to another folder on another harddrive, giving it every possible permission on folders and subfolder, and running it as admin.

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

The first time i installed i placed in in the default location, and when that didn't work, i placed it on a seperate harddrive again granting full access to the folder.

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

Hello. Back again!

I'm sad to hear the lack of free time you're experiencing, but I hope things have improved since. :)

I checked out the fool-proof video demonstration, and I thought I should point out that there's an error in it of importance; at ~37 seconds in, I believe it's supposed to say "accounts", rather than characters in the first sentence.

I also have one more question:

You previously mentioned patch 1.13 has made it possible to rescale the window any size you like, but I find I can only enlarge it fully in height, and I would like to make it basically a full screen window, so I won't have to change back to fullscreen everytime I'm not using the program. Can this be done?

Many thanks!

Edit: More questions (of course :P):

Can i delete accounts/characters in game?
I tried adding items by hovering over them with the cursor and pressing insert while not obstructing the text, but all I get is this:
Item scanning; operation failed; please move item

Obviously I did try moving all the several different items I attempted to add, but it's still the same. :(

Please help!

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

Have you looked into the glide wrapper we've recommended? It has support for the free resizing feature you are looking for.

It also increases the image quality, which may be needed to get the OCR to work.

Note that the OCR supports 800x600 LoD and nothing more. It you are scanning items you must have the correct window size and the correct playmode.

To delete a char/acc ingame you press delete while having it selected and being on the F8 tab.

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

Thank you for your quick reply, and sorry for my current ignorance.

I have not yet done that, as I've been quite busy myself, but I will. Until then, I'll stop asking such stupid questions. :P

It was indeed caused by me maximizing my window and not leaving it in its start-up size.

I did try doing so to delete a character I added by mistake, but it did not work. Perhaps I was under the wrong tab.

I've managed to find yet another question, too:

After performing a search using the "search clears grid" feature, is there a simpler way to quickly restore the entire database to the grid than Navigation -> Add to view (repeat for all accounts as I cannot seem to select several at once.)?

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

I assume you're aware of superior items being bugged in their description (seems to be the "u"?), but did you know that unidentified items show up as "Class: N/A" as well?

Also:

Is there any way to sort the database by character (i.e NOT by "class" e.g "armor")?
Is there any way to see total number of items in the database?

Good night. :)

Well aware, check the autofix function, settings->OCR tab, edit button.

You can drag the column headers around in the report control, see where it says class above the column headers? Just drag that down and drag the char column header up.
There's no way to see total number iirc ... yet ...

Is there any way to sort them in the same manner in the trade list? I seem unable to do so.

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

Settings -> tradelist tab 1 -> there you'll find combo boxes for selecting the used categorization.

And load items to the central grid, select them, *then* drag from there to tradelist grid.

I did not mean the trade text, but the trade list you see when orchestrating it, i.e I was referring more specifically to the "type" sorting option from the items database.

I took a look at the OCR settings, but I must say two things:

I have no idea how to adjust my "Dark/Bright Boarder"
Are there no default string pairs (the most common errors) for the autofix function? I would have a hard time identifying the errors and corrections myself.

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

Ah I see, then the answer is no, not at the moment at least.

Dark/bright boarder = highest RGB value you can find on a gray letter. In other words you screenshot (alt+printscreen) paste into an image editor like gimp or photoshop and then extract the RGB values with a color pickup tool.

The new version will feature better support for spotting and fixing the OCR errors, I'm working on it.

Re: Adria - Inventory Management System

Ok, I think I'll just leave the value up to the "auto" setting then.

All out of questions at the moment. Sorry for pushing all this info out of you. :P

Thank you so much for all your help! <3
