Accounts about to expire error email?

Hi guys. I received an email from blizzard telling me my account is go ing to expire but I checked if there is any message in red below any one of the characters that says expires in x days but there is none. Every single one of my characters has just being logged on like yesterday but it sent an email telling me one of my character will expire tomorrow but I checked that character and no red words warning below nor any message saying will expire in xx days which I just logged onto yesterday. Am I getting an error email from blizzard...? This is kinda freaking me out plz help!

I didn't think they sent emails about expiring characters (at least I've never seen one)... You sure it was actually from Blizzard and not some sort of scam?

Yes I am sure it is from blizzard. Although I just read the message today but it was sent to me on January 17 2019 and in it it says my account expires on April 20 2019.

Sorry it's just the problem with the account not the characters in it. They email me on January 17 2019 saying my account expires on April 20th 2019. Maybe it's a mistake? Should I just ignore it? I just logged onto the account yesterday...

Basically they emailed me this on January 17 2019:

You have one or more Classic Blizzard accounts and characters on the realm USEast that are expiring soon:

• Your account "account name" expires on 04/20/2019 02:55:55

• Your Diablo II character "character name1" expires on 01/28/2019 03:21:06
• Your Diablo II character "character name 2" expires on 04/05/2019 04:47:50
• Your Diablo II character "character name3" expires on 04/19/2019 00:06:34
• Your Diablo II character "character name4" expires on 04/20/2019 03:21:23

Ah, looks legit actually (based on a post in the Bliizzard forums). Perhaps they're working out some bugs with it . You could try to post there maybe, some people are lucky getting technical support.

Hi All,

We will be upgrading the servers for Diablo 2, Warcraft 3 and Starcraft at 10am PST on Friday. Expected down time is 1 hour.

Changes (For Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3):

Added new chat command /verify-tw to allow Taiwan citizens to extend default lifetime of their accounts to a year to accommodate new legal legislation in Taiwan (Note: Valid Taiwan Battle.net account required to complete verification)
Added email notifications 15 days before account or character expiration
