About Pgems

I know this is not the place but i have only necro chars in battle net so i want the opinion of necro players.

How much pgems worth because i know nothing about trade like with how many pgems can i get a tran shiled or a homonculus. i have some runes too

Can u write the amounts needed for some good necro stuff pls i will be very glad

scopeye,

Check the trade forums, either in Trade Values or on your particular realm. There are price guides that are pretty good for Europe and USEast, and the prices on West probably aren't too far off. The Europe guide, especially, has almost every item, and although the price on another realm might be slightly different, an item won't cost 4 pgems on one and 4 ists on another; prices will be in the neighborhood.

my observation is that pgems are simply not wanted off-ladder.

if anyone wishes to correct that observation plz PM me ;)

If u mean that pgems arent needed on non ladder then ud be wrong my friend. They are used for rerolling baal gcs and are the most common currency here on the tfs. Look and around and youll see what I mean ;)

since the beggining of D2 ppl have been hacking and duping until the value of items was completely destroyed.

when i started playing originally a windforce was so rare that if u actually found one it was absolutely priceless on Bnet. and your could sell it on ebay for hundreds of dollars.

Soj is actually a pretty rare item, the reason they are the main sorce of currency on NL is because there have been tens of thousands of them duped and sold on ebay. This doesnt effect values on the ladder, which explains why an soj on the ladder is worth more than an ist rune, where as it would take dozens of sojs to buy an ist on NL.

So without the duping affecting the Ladder, we dont have to measure the value of everything in duped sojs, real currency is needed, thats where runes and pgems come in. Thats how it should have always been.

I came back after a couple years off and I have most of the best items after just a few weeks, due to pgem/rune trading. It allows you to aquire wealth while actually playing the game, as opposed to just MF/cow runs.

This improved ladder system is the best decision Bnet has made since the start of D2.

Ladder rules, Playing NL is a complete waste of time. Quit playing it and put these scumbag hackers/dupers out of business.

Thanks for the wrong information. Some people care less about playing on the same area where the majority of the "ebay D2ers went to. Ladder is mainly for the botters/ebayers. Don't believe me? Then watch when ladder resets & sigon set sells for 10 bucks or more on ebay after just a day or two & actually sells to someone. Ladder is where the scumbag hackers/dupers thrive.

Some people prefer to game in an area where it's not as much on "rushing" to level the fastest. They just want to take their time & game as they please (in other words, have a real life).

Heh, I remember back in v. 1.09, when Sojs only cost me 3 perfect skulls each. Those were the days :drink:

Ya the majority - like 90% of items on ebay are for ladder realms . I play non ladder because I like playing the high end game . I always play in hell and even with the godly gear I own it is always possible to die .

SP pawns joo all.

Ladder, NL... it don't matter; just play where you like to. The b.net is so full of friggin' losers that both have their fair share of scammers.

i noticed no one PM'd me ;)

point is, NL is still suffering from completely destroyed value system.

when the ladder resets each season, problem solved. unless ppl can roll items over into the next ladder season. which they cant.

Pgems are still useful in NL, but can hardly be a good currency when there is half a millions duped sojs to be used.

Ledden, there is nothing wrong with selling items you dont need on ebay. If the economy allows selling a sigons set for 10$ on ebay, that is the sign of a good economy.

when u can buy 80 sojs on ebay for 25 cents each. that is the sign of a ruined economy.

Then please link us to a Softcore non-ladder auction for 80 sojs for 25 cents please. A lot of the old duped sojs are now gone thanks to the d-clone craze. Soj's do have fair value again on non-ladder.

As far as selling items on ebay, it is mainly for ladder. Which is mainly done by the botters or D2 sites (dupers). Most of those illegally gained items are coming from ladder. So non-ladder = more legit found items now. There's just no way to compete on ladder unless you're running a bot(s) or buying off ebay.

I play both, but I prefer non-ladder. Ladder I play for the runes & for the items that can only be found there.

My apologies for the double post.

Tonight on East SCNL I just traded 120 pgems/skulls (combo) for a ist/ist ali baba, 32% resists hoto & lacerator winged axe. It was 40 pgems for 1 each of those items. The guy promplty started cubing them with me in the game with a few baal charms. He had a fire skiller with life & another skill charm before I even left the game & with less than half of those gems gone. So whoever says muling gems is worthless is quite wrong. I've traded 40 for a stormshield & another 40 for a shako within the past month.

3? I paid six for mine  Actually, I paid 6 pskulls for my second one; I traded Iceblink for my first one (pretty sure both were pre-1.09, though.)

Best way to get a really good deal is to go to trade games. Not everybody keeps a copy of the Diablo II equivalent of a blue book next to their PC and you can frequently make very good trades for hot items if you happen to have the one piece of a set that somebody needs, or a particularly exciting class specific item. A lot of people don't realize, for instance, how relatively easy it is to gamble for Skill Amulets and a +2 all rare amu with other good stuff on it will get you some insanely good stuff. I've also seen a lot of high level MF sorceresses trading their "junk" for relatively low numbers of P Gems on USWest. It's a good idea to know what's absurdly rare and what's not, but even a lot of the muling players just want to get stuff they have no use for out of their inventories in exchange for anything they might need.

The other day, for instance, for 3 P gems and 4-5 assorted flawless, I got a Tarn Helm, Steel Driver, and Frost Burns. None of that stuff is incredibly rare, but all of it useful for earlier level characters (can't wait to start a Werewolf Druid with that Maul) and I'm certain the actual trade values are much greater than the gems I unloaded. That guy got tired of waiting for someone with a lot of gems to show up and settled for less. It's not all that uncommon.
