running L85 Area's + LK is probably the fastest way. I usually do 10 - 20 runs LK + Pindle and then move on to L85 (AT or pits) back and forward (CS in the mix) it keeps me from eating my keyboard and i slowly (yes slowly!!) gain more and more rune wealth. im running LK and pindle on /p7 (LK on P7 helps!! Pindle on P7 is useless i know) and i run the L85 area's on /p3.

@BKC I also try to mix it around a lot to save myself from going insane. The last few days I've done my best to stick to LK so I can hopefully get at least that first high rune, maybe that first one will break the cycle. When I get too bored, I kill some boss packs and pop open some other stuff in the LK.

You say you run LK on player 7 though? I thought running it on player 3 was ideal for getting the high runes? I looked at the chest drop patterns the other day and it looked like player 3 offered up the best combination for finding high runes. What do all of you guys run LK on?

That explains your bad luck so far ;) P7 is by far the fastest way to get HRs in LK. Those numbers I mentioned are all for P7. Other player settings have much worse drop odds (except for Lo runes, which drop a tiny bit more often on P5 than on P7). Especially for Sur+ runes, P7 is a gold mine, in fact Sur is basically the same rarity as Um or Mal there... But like I said, the guide I linked above contains all that information and much more. :)
 
I would suggest running it at/p7. Iirc, there are the most patterns by far on this player level, with the most ber and sur rune patterns to boot.

@ffs I realized I was looking at an old table. I hadn't ran LK in awhile so when I saw that I was like oh wow I was running on p7 good thing I checked so I can go to p3. In reality I screwed myself over for the last two days and had it right at first. I guess that's why I thought p7 was right at first. Thank you guys for pointing this out before I wasted more time running based off of a guide from 2009 lol. I just found a Ko, highest one in awhile lmao. Time to go back to p7!
 
Well, I'm not sure if this is just irony or not, but I found a GUL off one of the chests about 5 runs into switching to p7 lol.

edit: what photo sharing website do you guys use? I can't really remember what one I used back a long time ago when I last uploaded screenshots from D2. I did take a snap of my GUL falling :p.

I cant remember what all the possible mods are for cs javs. Are these valuable/useful? I saw someone posted +3 with 40 ias, reminded me that I found these yesterday.. I haven't found as high as +5 in a long time.

Man, level 48 requirement too, would've made a pretty sweet mid level dueler back in the day.
 
Nice bow, mir!

I've always wanted a nice shadow bow like that to try an amazon build using fire and cold arrows, since they convert physical damage to elemental. It would be an all dex build, of course...
 
Found 3 ists and a gul yesterday (2 ist before work, ist and gul after work) at LK, which is kinda upsetting because if 3 of those had been surs (more common than ist in /p7 LK), I'd be done in LK for now. I have acquired the runes for CTA, however, so that's something... I have yet to make one in my SP career, though I suppose that's simply because I haven't found BO to be necessary on any character I've made. Maybe it'll be worth it, though. I don't particularly like having almost 2/3 of my health disappearing when my oak sage dies.

One poison source is always useful, it prevents regeneration. The longer it lasts, the better, but the amount of damage isn't that important.

Found these in LK over the last two days. I haven't got in a whole lot of runs yet, but I'm having much more success now that I got it back to p7 lol. Also found a Unique Cryptic Sword off of a boss pack and a 4 Socket Sup. Great Bow with 13%ED (not sure how often Faith Great Bow is used?).
