Similar to my recommendation to BKC and that Ohm rune a couple of pages ago I'd put my Cham in a Windforce and go full Terminator Judgement Day on all the faul beasts that happen to cross my way. :)

That would be a good choice, but I already have a Faith bowazon and even though I have another one with a WF, I'm probably not going to use such a rare rune on a character who cannot compare anyway. It will probably end up in a shako, so I'm flexible with using it properly. I will have to think about it for some time.

"Akara, high Priestess, your daughter is a Trapsin, is she not?" Rockatansky says,
"Yes, brave and noble barbarian, that she is," Akara says
"Will you give her this charm from me, and wish her good luck on her journey,"
"Oh thank you so very much, great barbarian, she will be very grateful for this great charm,"

Rockatansky, what can I say, he's always been a gentleman and a scholar

Grats for the E' Toll!

And that latter thing just... good for Akara's daughter, I guess! :p As a big fan of high life skillers, that just burns my eyes!

Running countess to get some mid runes.
Within 15 runs I get 2 unique amulets, a crescent moon and a maras (23)
First copies of either.

Hey all, I used to post in the last item find thread. I took a break from the game for a little while and I'm back at it. I was wondering-I'd like to try running Trav more often since I see people finding good stuff there, but for some reason, I'm just not that good at it. I have a Meteorb Sorc and I should be powerful enough but I can't run it quickly and keep my survivability up.

I think its my res, which admittedly is bad. I'm trying to grind Pindle for a Tal's armor, but does anyone have suggestions for something to boost me up in the meantime? Before you ask, yes, all my Anya quests are done.

Here's what I'm rocking:

Shako
Occy
Rhyme Shield
Tal Ammy/Belt
Waterwalks
Chancies
Couple crappy rings

I figure Tal Armor can boost my MF for the third piece of the set and give me some res. Problem is finding it...

Its also a problem killing stuff. On P1 its pretty simple, but P4 and beyond, it just slows down way too much. Is it worth investing the runes in an Infinity for my merc to nerf enemy res/immunity to increase killing speed? Problem with that is no Insight and that Meditation is pretty nice...

Also, my merc needs better armor (using Atma's Wail right now...its the best I can find :(), anyone have suggestions?

I'll post some shots of the stuff I've found recently, some are pretty neat.

@Bossy Stick to player 1, in general it is only worth increasing it for xp. Insight won't really help your orb side, only the fire side. It might break a few immunities, but hardly necessary for a dual-tree sorc. If you need better items (not runes) you should run meph (reliably up to TC75) or pindle (up to TC87). See https://diablo2.diablowiki.net/TC_1.10

If you need high runes for infinity or something you should run lower kurast chests, not travincal. This can be done at p7/8 and doesn't require any good gear. You will also have to find the item bases for runewords however, which can sometimes be tricky. See https://www.purediablo.com/forums/threads/lk-vs-travincal-vs-cows-runefinding-guide.940121/

You didn't list your current armor, but a smoke runeword (nef+lum) gives 50 all resists. You can also find resists in the glove slot, boot slot, and ring slots from rares. Also resist charms. For your merc a treachery runeword (shael+thul+lem) will boost his damage, but unfortunately the fade proc won't be reliable for short runs such as pindle or meph.

Thanks Pandadude.

Would a fort be good for my Merc? I don't have any bugged armor or anything but I have the runes, almost. Also, I assume you meant Infinity won't really help my orb side? Insight is nice for now but I think if I make a fort, he'll turn into a killing machine with the extra damage.

My current armor is Que Hegan's Wisdom, so...very replaceable.

I think for now I'll run Pindle, I never seem to have much luck with Meph, Pindle is much faster and easier to get to.

Ah yes I meant infinity ;) Yes fort is considered the best merc armor for most things, so if you don't have a more pressing need for the runes, go for it. I think only competitors are guardian angel for travincal and shaftstop if he needs to tank bosses or something.

You don't really need resists for pindle (maybe a little if you are playing HC), so I'd stick with Que Hegan for now, or even switch to a 4 ptopaz armor or wealth runeword for more MF. I myself prefer meph for most things, but if you are itching for a tal's armor then pindle is your man.

@Bossy Stick to player 1, in general it is only worth increasing it for xp.
I fully agree to that. Random bosses and those like Pindle won't drop more on higher /p settings.

Insight won't really help your orb side, only the fire side. It might break a few immunities, but hardly necessary for a dual-tree sorc.
You certainly mean Infinity, right? I also suggest not to use Infinity.

Insight is the better choice because on /p1 you are typically using fireball instead of meteor and fireball depletes the mana bulb very quickly. You probably don't want to waste time with looking for mana potions all the time. That's pretty annoying and it costs time as well.

If you need better items (not runes) you should run meph (reliably up to TC75) or pindle (up to TC87). See https://diablo2.diablowiki.net/TC_1.10
When looking at his gear, he already has what's best provided by Meph. I think he needs to run the Ancient Tunnels in addition to Pindleskin.

You didn't list your current armor, but a smoke runeword (nef+lum) gives 50 all resists.

Before having Tal's armor, I would rather wear Skullders, for its massive MF bonus. If that's not available as well, then it's Wealth or at least a 4 ptopaz armor.

You can also find resists in the glove slot, boot slot, and ring slots from rares.

I agree, except for gloves. I would wear Magefists here.

Also resist charms. For your merc a treachery runeword (shael+thul+lem) will boost his damage, but unfortunately the fade proc won't be reliable for short runs such as pindle or meph.
When doing the Tunnels before Pindleskin, fade has usually been activated.

BTW, Mephisto is best visited without a merc becausde he would spoil the moat trick (luring Meph to the moat, teleporting to the other side and bombard him with meteors from far away) and also stir up monsters which could be ignored otherwise. After that, you can also go to Andariel quickly by entering the portal to act 4 where it's a short way to the waypoint. A meteorb can simply kill her in a direct confrontation, with a couple of fireballs. At /p3, Meph and Andy drop 6 items almost all the time.

Rhyme Shield
Tal Ammy/Belt
Waterwalks
Chancies
Couple crappy rings

I suggest to wear a Spirit shield together with the Occy, not Rhyme. Apart from +2 to skills, Spirit adds resists, vitality and (very important) lots of FHR which is very important when teleporting around. Put that Rhyme into the weapon switch, together with Ali Baba's. That's what you could use in the Tunnels and versus Pindle BTW.
