You know, other than the rarity of a Metalgrid, it doesn't really seem all that useful to me. The AR and Def rolls I got were poop, but they are hardly the reason to use it. The all Res would come in handy, and I got the max roll on that which is highly unusual for me. The lvl 22 Iron Golem could be interesting, but the lack of +skills and attack speed kinda hurts this item for elemental and physical dmg builds.
I would say a Metalgrid could most likely be used in a physical dmg build? The Def and all Res would help getting in close combat, extra AR always helps, and an Iron Golem could do some tanking.

The AR is the key thing, the resist are nice, and the defense is just gravy. Angelics ring/amu combo is common for AR, but if you also have to wear a ravenfrost you have no more options for rings (leech generally). Highlords is the gold standard for melee dmg dealers, but some builds don't need deadly strike (e.g. dragon talon, enchantress).

Not the rarest of items, and no grailers, but peculiar to find those in back to back Pit runs. Then eth Gores and eth The Salamander for my eth grail within 10 runs definitely made it very worthwhile. Certainly after finding another eth grailer, Arkaines Valor yesterday.

Nice soj :) Can't you just tank andy for your merc? Or are you using spirit without max block? I tank both meph and andy on my light sorc, albeit she has energy shield so also ~1600 effective life.

What could have been. Ughhh.... it hurts my soul to see a green Diadem cause I know somewhere in that roll process it could have went gold instead of green.

A nice cold skiller for when I finally talk myself into using the only Ber I have found for CoH and build out my FO/FB Sorc the way it should be, and a 7%MF small charm underneath it, which are always a plus. LK needs to be coughing up some higher Runes sometime soon according to the odds, but RNG that fickle, fickle bitch.

@darkstarhub Wait until you find 8 or 9 of those green Diadems, without a single golden one. Especially when 3 of those green ones drop in a relatively short time frame ...

You do realise it could have rolled, white, grey, blue and yellow too right? :) i have that all the time, white sacreds, yellow diadems, blue vortex shields
 
@T72on1 Thats the 3rd or 4th green diadem I've found since my restart, but it still hurts a little bit every time. I found a gold diadem back in '12 before D3 came out so I know they exist. Even though it was about The worst roll possible it was still awesome to find. I can probably dig up the screen shot that's on my laptop. It dropped in the AT from a unique monster pack.
Something else that's painful is how many white coronas and caduceus I have seen drop, and I've yet to ever find a green or gold one of them...EVER. But, you know what, I like that and it makes the items and game all that mythical and frustrating at the same time.
 
I realized the other day that I'm one ohm away from making a pretty gnarly bowazon, so I have been grinding for loot a bit. Of course, now that I'm on the path to bowazonhood, these showed up. I have found these several times in the past, but have never kept them because the rolls have been consistently bad. No longer. I'm pretty sure these are perfect!
