8,068 Pindle runs
At least that is what the drop calculators suggested for IK's Soul Cage with 350+- MF. I needed Tal's Guardianship as well, so I began running Pindle with a Lvl 90 Furyzon.
After about 100 runs I realized that keys, tomes, skillers, and resists were superfluous, so off went Griffons, TGods, Sanctuary, +2 ammy, etc. I was able to add another 300 or so in the end.
Found Soul Cage after about 1,300 runs and Tals on run 4,168. I kept pretty meticulous records, so for those interested in my results:

Normal: 128 in 4168 runs or 1 per 33 runs
Exceptional: 64 in 4168 runs or 1 per 65 runs
Elite: 33 in 4168 runs or 1 per 126 runs
Class Specific: 11 in 4168 runs or 1 per 379 runs
Jewelry: 6 in 4168 runs or 1 per 695 runs
Jewels: 1 in 4168 runs or 1 per 4168 runs

Other miscellaneous notes:
* Eighteen lacquered plates dropped before the fateful one. That is 1 per 219 runs. Sacred armor had much lower drop rates--1 per 834 runs.
* All runs were at players 1. I was doing about 106 runs per hour with periodic stash transfers, record keeping, etc. I spent about a month on the project.
* TC87 unique/set drops: IK Soul Cage, Astreons, Death Cleaver, Ghost Flame, Gargoyle's Bite, Death's Web, BK Col Blade, 2 Griswold's Valor, and Natalya's Mark.
* Perhaps the most important stats: 12 Green Breast Plates (+5 Venom Wards) and 8 Cathan's rings.
No plans to run Pindle any longer. I am in awe of jjscud and Darkwell, among others, for their efforts of 20,000+.
