I'm making a PvP ES Sorc. My gear is:
Griffons
CoH +20 str
Dual Spirits
Frostburns
Sandstorm Treks +12 str
Arachnids Mesh
2x SoJ
Anni +15 str
Torch +15 str
Ammy = don't have one yet.
So I get a total of 62 str from my gear, and +10 str base, which in total is 72. Yet I need 156 str for a Spirit shield! Ouch! Any advice?
I would work on the gear a bit, if it's PvP then you can MF some more without making this char yet. You can pull off a lot more str from gear with:
Anni - 20
Torch - 20
Treks - 15
CoH - 20
There's 75 there, bringing you to 85, 71 away from your goal. Maras will give you 5 str, but a rare amulet can give you up to 30 more strength. If you are willing to give up Griffon's, a nice rare circlet can give you 2skills, 20fcr, and up to 30 strength. A rare belt can also add up to 20, and with all these you can have +155str on top of 10 base. Now obviously you don't want to do that but I'm sure you can add at least another piece of strength boosting gear.
You currently have 35+35+25+20 FCR, 115 total. You have 10 more than the 8FPA breakpoint (though I do remember light being different breaks a while ago, I believe this guide is correct now:

You can drop the Arach in favor of a rare belt for FHR, resists, life, and more strength, and either get 10 more FCR from a rare amulet, or from a rare ring, which can also add up to 20 strength, life, mana, resistances,and more, which will drop your mana a bit from the lack of SOJ, but give you other needed stats. The 5% mana on the Arach isn't going to be helping you immensely and high strength/life are more stats than 5% would likely be before the FHR/resist possibilities.
If you're looking for a larger chance in gear or alternative to spirit, go with vmagi and use a faceted ATOD or Jeweler's Monarch of Ease.
Just some suggestions, I'd need to know the PvP subdivision the sorc is to make further suggestions on gear.
