Tested following 12 combinations and all negative.

Well, according to me combining all the tests here - we're down to only 13 of the 100 lower than thul tests. I have a feeling we're going to hit a wall now - as I've had minimal luck finding any of these - although I did get a dol from the countess last night. Sucks that it will slow down - but good luck in hunting all.
And FWIW - I'm almost out of runes w/ my hunting now. I did manage to make myself an ancients pledge dragon shield as I embark on attempting hell solo w/ my sorc...

OK here's the update, Once again good progress. I myself have no idea what the seven clue is about, but as pointed out it must be related to the number of letters in Drognan and Geglash. There has to be something tying them together, but I have yet to notice it. Can't post on weekends much so I'm hoping everything goes well

ThulIth is still missing. I don't know is it tested but there is ThulRal in that place. And it is easy to get Thul and higher runes from countess. Just kill her in hell difficulty.
 
More good progress, indeed. I agree with Dan, however, in that we will soon hit a wall on armors as we move >Thul. I would suggest that we begin to test lower recipes in helms, and test higher recipes in armors as runes are available.

I think I have the crappiest luck ever. I put them all on my mule and cubed them all up as far as I could, but I am short a chipped topaz and chipped amythyst to go any further...but I am pretty sure the end result was something like the equivilent of 2 shaels, or a dol maybe.

I am going to look for some people on USeast L I can trust (Maybe get 8 of us together, and do 7 hellforge rushes at once? Much faster then doing them one at a time...and we can pool the runes for research? Or if people are still lacking gear, save what people need, and donate the rest?)
 
Well I lied. I got to check DolOrt and ThulShael just now. No luck.
Oh, and ikeren - am I missing something in cubing? I didn't know there were recipes w/ runes and gems... I'm gonna go check AS - but just wondering.

Dan: You need gems to cube anything above Thul, as of 1.10.

I'm on USWest, else I'd be all for joining the Hellforge rush effort (as well as joining your sorc in Hell, if she didn't want to be so lonely).

This may not help much, because I am still half asleep and havn't thought it all the way through but...On Kennyz's importance of seven thing I just wanted to point out that rune #7 is Tal which is part of the name of the ancient Horadrim within whom the body of Baal is imprisoned (Tal Rasha). He is sealed within one of the Seven Tombs in the Canyon of the Magi, each tomb protected by one of seven seals (in one of these tombs is a super unique named Ancient Kaa the Souless). Tal (rune) is an element of the runeword Ancient's Pledge (Ral Ort Tal). It is also an element in the name of one of the three Ancients that stand atop Arreat Summit - Talic. Is there perhaps an unactivated runeword in the lists that has the word 'ancient' in it? If so perhaps you may need to replace one of the runes in it with a Tal, add a Tal, or remove a Tal.

Just wanted to add that I tried Myth (EL Tir) when the announcement was made in a circlet and strangely enough the mods had changed. Instead of 25% poison resist, which it had when it was the 1st runeword I ever found, and is apparently a placeholder stat on all inactive runewords, it had 50% poison reduce and the bonuses for the runes. Obviously, being in a circlet, Pelts and Barb helms have not been tested.
 
Caught the update to cubing upgrades with gems on the AS after I posted last night but my comp locked up before I could come back and correct. That's a nice little bonus they gave w/ 1.10 and I missed it when I started playing again.

I didn't get much playing in either. Was playing a Chinese card game with some friends until 4:30 this morning, also had to scrub our deck so we can seal it, and work for a few hours. Similar results today except replace deck with yardwork. Did almost get to NM.

Ikeren: Are you sure you are running the Countess by yourself?(One player games) The more people you have in the game the fewer runes she will drop. You must be having very bad luck to get all those single rune drops (not to mention the terribly quality).

Hi, I'm new to posting here but been following your thread over the last few weeks. I wanted to let you know my bad results testing in two socketed armor.

So I ended up with no runewords but wanted to let you know so U could put on your chart.

Also, on a side note, I got my first ever SOJ to drop in Act 3 hell. It was off a group of monsters. Bunches of those little guys with knives and and some lightning immune beasts. I am horrible with remembering names of monsters, but good with remembering what they are immune to, lol. :cheesy: But only had 165%mf on at time.

If NE1 is on USeast and needs a hand send me a tell. I'm still in Act 3 Hell. Talascoma is my account name. I usually play solo or with two of my other friends from here in Morgantown, WV. We play straight and dont use hacks or bots. When I test some more I will post results for ya. Good job with the charting btw.
 
Hey guys, back from vacation. Great progress on the chart. Thanks to everyone whose helping out.

I found the Lum from a chest in the Flayer Jungle in Act 3 Nm and I got the Um from the Hellforge in Nightmare. My assassin is now level 62 and I'm almost done with Nm. (Actually I beat Baal, but I didn't get the quest yet). Let's keep the good work up and get some characters into Hell to find better runes. The table is really beginning to look filled in.

Hi guys, pretty new to the game [been playing maybe a month] but I'll contribute any runes I find to the cause. Of course, I'm pretty useless still, so I don't have much, but I'll give what I can find.

PS: I've been reading the thread, and I'm sure you're looking too deeply into this dudes quiz threads. I think it'd be nigh impossible to create runes within words [ie: pAndeMoNiUM fORTress] with any degree of regularity, probably more of a coincidence. Assuming that he -is- giving clues on runewords, it would stand to reason that they're going to be hints, as in somewhere to look, not the actual runewords in some sort of incomprehensible code. Has anyone gone through -all- the answers and looked for common ground? I might be mistaken, but the various posts on this thread seem to indicate that there was a question [3] AND a [3.5] - surely there has to be something in that, especially if none of the others have a [.5] question.
