Well, I could not find anywhere that this was mentioned. So, I will make a ruling. Go ahead and use any potion/scroll that you like; even the ones that do some damage. The way I see it is that if you need them, you need all the help you can get.

Most people havent actually ever used them, but they are extremely effictive in act1 norm and nm. I generally just use them for those huge carver camps and blood raven.

Good to know that I COULD use those explosives...the next 2 levels until I reach Lv18 will be quite tough. Glad to have a merc.

True...esp. those poison gas potions are quite nasty even in 8player when you don't have any effective skills (or may not use them

Ok, Mercury finally took out Andariel. She wasn't really that hard, just time consuming. Apparently I should read about a skill before I decide to make it my main attack. I had no idea Plague Javalin was a timer skill :shocked: Boy wasn't I suprised when I finally got to level 18. To top it off my rogue mercenary likes to pick daisies in between arrow shots, that and fire once, then run as far away as possible (so she can't "see" the monsters anymore). I am so glad I can finally trade her in for a tank, ya! Now I'm not the one trying to tank with my starting Javalin and light armor (at least I found an armor now).

Not super sweet, but a great find for my character early on. Actually its the first vita obession equipment that I have found. No real problems yet with my Iron Maiden necro. Kind of amusing watching swarms of devil kins and the like swarm around you and commit suicide. But we will see how that route plays out as I get farther on. Still looking for an amu. and a ring. Sorry didn't feel like messing with the table yet. I will update myself after I finish act 1.

Had to return to the WP and go back to town for her to return to my side. NO clue where she got stuck. We very nearly full-cleared the Dark Wood before finding Treehead Woodfist, but luckily LiliVon hit L12 and her main skill, Blaze, so it was just a zig-zagging layering of Blazing to defeat him and his hasty sidekicks, no bow or scimitar needed.

Luckily, we weren't swarmed in Tristram while rescuing Cain, so after going back to town and getting the insta-sell ring, we cleared the place counter-clockwise and saved Wirt's Leg for cows (should we live so long). Then, onward to finish full-clearing the Passage, and then a quick dash back into the Cold Plains, through everyone who had followed us on the way to the Stony Field, to get Coldcrow's lair. Someone down there dropped a magic ring with fire resist, so LiliVon has her first piece of jewelry. She's now only missing a second ring, ammy, and hat. Everything up to the Black Marsh WP is now full-cleared on p/8 ... I hoped to get this far, but had my doubts.

I've never Walked so much in a game before. I'm more cautious than I've ever been. My only other HC character had minions (a druid in the All Alone tourney) and my sorcs have always been able to utilize a spell or two but now at L15, Blaze is sustainable at L3 without serious mana problems. The strategy is to walk carefully until someone wakes up. If a ranged-stationary foe, draw back and plink away with the bow. If a melee foe, right-click
Blaze and zig-zag back the way I came, trying to draw them into a narrow area or encircle them, switching to the melee gear just in case I need to whack someone who gets too close, watching the life bulb and switching to the bow with the leech if it gets below 2/3 full. It seems that walking with Blaze is more effective than running. I can lay a denser area of flame. I'm really going to need the practice with Blaze, as this will be my main killing skill other than multi-element-plus-leech bow or pure flame melee until I a) find a better melee weapon or b) pass L50 when I can pick up a secondary and as-yet-undecided skill.

Bearly is doing pretty well now that I found out that Required Strength on items count. He grabbed a 2 socket fail and made a Steel runword out of it. Also he had found an Umbral Disk and is now able to use it. He's crusing though Act 2 and is currently doing all the tomes.

EDIT: just found out that my atma stash that contained chippies etc. has been deleted... :sad2: I really tought that it was an empty map when I deleted it :embarassed: Oh well, guess I'll have to search for new ones.(The only real important things in it were some jewels of ease, wich I tought I might need later on.

@wolron: If I make edge, may I equip it via atma, or would that be forbidden? I mean, without atma, it wouldn't be equippable, while with atma, the edge will make sure I can have it equipped (on a good roll at least, edge gives +all stats), and of course the same q for other equipment, I used edge only as an example (and it is the weapon I want to us, Edge edge bow anyone?

Interesting, I never even knew this was a possiblity in ATMA. I simply assumed that if it wasn't equipable, when I play the character the item will have that red background showing I'm not actually "using" it.
