163 fcr PvP fire druid?

My skills are:

20 volcano
20 fissure
20 molten boulder
20 grizzly
1 armageddon
1 HoW
rest in firestorm

I also have a pure fire druid, but I feel like the one with grizzly suits me better.

Currently using:

fire facet -20 fire ravenlore = -25 fire res, +5% increased fire dmg
arachnid mesh
magefist
hoto
spirit
mara
2x soj or soj/raven frost

= 115 fcr

If I go for 163 fcr, gear would become:

hoto - 40 fcr
spirit - 35 fcr
2 druid circlet - 20 fcr
magefist - 20 fcr
2 druid amulet - 10 fcr
2x rings - 10 fcr each
arachnid mesh - 20 fcr

= 165 fcr

Instead of wearing fire facet -20 fire ravenlore, 2 soj, and mara, will I still be effective in PvP considering I don't have as much res, -res, and +skills? I would also be able to tele and bear-bomb faster, though. Should I sacrifice the dmg for more speed?

Any experienced shamans have some helpful information?

Re: 163 fcr PvP fire druid?

First of all, the FCR has little to no effect on your spells as they are timered... I think I heard someone mention that it increases speed - but nowhere near enough to bother getting a 163 fcr... It might as well have no effect what so ever...

I wouldn't sacrifice -res, +skills for it. There's nothing wrong with having a enigma switch though.

Instead of setting 20 straight points into Grizzly - let some slide somewhere more useful --- the damage isn't going to be pretty - and the life is more than high enough I think (and IIRC pumping grizlly doesn't add to his life... Spirit wolf does.. I think)

I know they're timed. I asked about the tele speed and bear-stomp speed.

My build is fine with 20 grizzly. I can easily stun them to let my bear slide in a hit. If the're not dead by a volcano and grizzly hit, than I just repeat until they are.

Re: 163 fcr PvP fire druid?

i d go with lower fcr tbh, i dont think that extra frame in teleporting would help you that much, and if some one constantly runs on your head, make them regret it with fussier under you.

Re: 163 fcr PvP fire druid?

I say keep both setups, but use the first one (115) as your main against pallies, barbs, sins, and zons and the second (163) in your stash for sorcs and necros. Against windies and fire druids/shamans match their fcr setup. In my opinion against some of the good sorcs and necros 163 fcr is essential to have even a slight chance.

No you really need the -enemy resist and +skill dmg because fissure druids dont rely on fcr. The damage would be terrible with hoto and spirit so its not like building other characters. You will need more damage and stats for the build. Here would be a good example of how to make one:
Weap- 30/30 crystal
Armor- Enigma (no enigma=auto remake)
Helm- perfect Ravenlore 5/5 (except mana b/c its not important stat)
Ammy- 30 maras
Shield- 20/20 mon with -30% lower req
Boots- Rare boots with gg resists and maybe life if possible
Rings- x2 BK
Belt- arachnid
Gloves- magefist
Charms- ofc torch, anni, 9 ele lifer gcs, and 10 20 life scs.

I'm not sure that you read his post, but he said that he's running a shaman, not a fissure druid (or pure fire druid, if you will). This type of build focuses more on +skills from items to boost both grizzly and the physical damage portion of volcano. With that setup his bear would lose about 1k damage per hit.

The setup that you listed has 40% fcr, 0% fhr, apparently around 90 total resists and is pretty much your standard townguarding gear (minus maybe the boots and armor).

Honestly I'm not a big fan of tons of -res even on a pure fire druid either since its not really that hard to stack 75 extra fire resist as people are already used to stacking higher amounts against conviction and way higher against cold sorcs. But if you really do want to go that route you should aim for at least 68 fcr even still.

To the OP :propeller:, I think your setups look fine, although you might eventually want to try and find a 2Druid/XGrizzly/XFire skills pelt if you really want to boost your grizzly damage.

I understand that but how crazy is it to max out bear and have a 1 pt HoW. I mean im not trying to criticize him but its just not a good strategy at all when druids fire skills dont rely on fcr due to the slow casting time either way.
