Do you have the disk in? I know I've done that before, and it doesn't tell you if it's not in.

The disk is in, and I also noticed that after I reinstalled the game, it didn't install patch 1.13 -.- I tried to contact blizz, but they don't have support for d2 anymore, so I'm a little stuck. All of my characters are there, but they're all in 1.12, and I haven't a clue why. I'm going to have my brother (a programmer) stop by tomorrow and try to find the problem

So you installed from the disks, right?

And the base install was v 1.12?

If that's the case you can't play 1.07

Either way you can download the 1.13 patch by either logging onto bnet or by getting it manually from blizzard's site.

I installed the expansion from battle net, which gave me 1.12. I hopped on bnet and I'm back in 1.13, but my 1.07 shortcut still does the exact same thing - changes compatability, then reverts back to win7 and not opening anything. I suppose I could try installing from the disk.

Thoughts?

Huh? My first version was from bnet, and 1.07 always worked just fine. It stopped working when I had a hard drive crash a few months ago. I guess I could try it later this afternoon - gonna get through NM a4 on my single pass untwinked hc sin

I always install from the internet and time travel always worked for me.

Hmmm...that's odd. I was always told it didn't work that way. Or maybe you just still have to have the old disks to be able to play it still. I dunno, apparently you shouldn't listen to me :p

Yeah I saw some posts saying that. But you only need any LoD disk (or working image), and any working installation will do. :)

When I set older versions up the first time, they worked fine with bnet-install and disc in drive. Last time I set them up i had to install from the discs because the game would start up and close instantly with the bnet-installer.

I'm trying to dig it up, but does anyone have a link to that 1.07 mfing guide? It had tips for mf gearing and the breakpoints that make it so all set/unique items drop, but I can't find it :(

Oh my god. My fury druid is very happy about my latest weapon (shopped at that guy in act 4).

Needs 1 Shael rune, 1 jewel (preferably 15% IAS/20%+ ED) and whatever I want as the last socket. Most likely an Eth rune to bring the monsters defense to minus 25% using the Eth rune bug eliminating the need of attack rating. Knives are awesome for fury druid with max block as dexterity adds damage as well!

I have two problems right now:
1. After a long time I tried to craft some blood gloves but it didnt work. I used Rare Vampirebone gloves (i have read that it doesnt matter if they are white, magic , rare or else..) + jewel + Perfect ruby + Shae rune.. but not work :/ what i did wrong?

2. I am reading here that ure doing cow level xping over and over again.. but from my experience it can be entered just once... so does it work only in multiplayer mode? Or can i enter cow level in solo mode multiple times?

Thank a lot for any advices :)
