I don't think that they actually list 3k damage.... they just do 3k damage (although I could well be wrong here).

Works better in 1.07 though imo, 29/1>100/7

As I've said earlier, even my ~900/~7 bow was quite hell viable so yours should be a real sight to behold!

RTB - I'm guessing the first column is bite damage per frame? If it is total bite damage it seems too low even for the lesser 1.07 poison affixes.....

Using RTBs stats, a 4xPEmerald Pestilent bow of Anthrax:

350+((64+128)/2) = 446 bite damage per frame for 100+50=150 frames. Which is only 1 bite damage per frame different but for completeness sake:

bite damage per frame of a PEmerald (assuming you add them in 1.09 not 1.07 - if you socket it in 1.07 the damage I think will be a lot lower, although it would be quicker): 147
length: 175 frames

so, that bow with 4xPEmerald would have a rate of: 446 + 4*147 = 1034 bd/frame
and a length of: 150+ 4*175= 850,

so 878900 bite damage over 850 frames or 3433 PDamage over 34s.

If you socketed the PEmeralds in 1.07 you'd get

446+4*300 = 1646 bd/frame for 150+4*25=250 frames

so 1646*250=411500 bite damage over 250 frames or 1607 damage over 10 seconds or 160 poison damage per second. So, 1.07 Pemmeralds do less damage but do it a lot quicker.

There goes this nights sleep... Gotta get my ama to act 5 to get it socketed! (She's lvl 16 in Arcane Sanctum now).

EDIT: And being impatient, I'll most likely go for the 1.07 version, as 160 dps sounds better than 100 dps. I really want 4s on it.

EDIT2: And 1.07 Pemeralds... wow!

you actually get about 1.5x damage from 1.07 emeralds compared to 1.09 if they were over the same duration

Gems are simple items, their stats are looked up in the .txt files every time you start the game, instead of being saved within the .d2s files. So the poison rate and duration should change.

Nice guide. I'll post in the other thread when I get a chance.

I'm curious: how many mats, pats and guardians do you guys have? Heck, how many "titled" characters in total? I get the feeling the number is not huge, although Galtwish seems to be racking up a fair total.

This occurs to me after getting another barb through the game and because my new zon is edging towards Act III Hell. That brings the total to 8 mats/pats (2 pallies, 2 barbs and 1 of everything but necro) and 1 guardian (frenzy barb). I also built a chippadin in HC for ring crafting and have a necro slayer and another necro champion. Both are in SC and neither has seen much action lately. Should finish one of them for the sept but I don't see it happening any time soon.

So how about the rest of you? I assume helvete is running a non barb or he might have mentioned whether bloodraven is horkable (not, right?) plus a 'zon in progress. Yiuman has a sorceress for rushing and a couple other chars, plus 45 champs for HF purposes. Phool has a 'zon and probably another char or two. RTB has a sorc... you still play, dude?

I have a main sorc, main zon, main barb and a bunch of level ~53 unstatted and unskilled champions (1 of each class except nec and an extra zon), which I haven't decided on skill distribution for. My next 1.07 char will be a shifter druid, I'm hoping for a buriza or something for them, and my barb still needs work (lots of leveling before they can use bk set like I plan), probably going to make a sin after that (they seem to have potential as a racker as well they combine a summon like zon with a healthy skill based speed boost like barb). 1.07 necs seem pretty rubbish, I may make a paladin or some type eventually though.

I've also rushed about 20 chars to hell and haven't collected HFs yet, I plan to collect on those in 1.10 beta (for runes >um) and cube to ohm for a beta CTA (probably going to need a few more rushes for that though).

I have 20 Mat/pats in 1.11b and a LOT of champions for "dedicated runs" such as meph, LK and teh ev0l countless. Mind that I've deleted many many characters because.... well... they sucked.

2 Mats, a Champ pally that may or may not be rerolled, a Slayer 'sin, and innumerable deleted slayers pre-ATMA/forums. I'm going to finish my sept and move on to 1.11. Baal is such a pain in the butt that I can't see questing through the game 8+ times to be that fun, and it looks like there are a lot more options for Hell viable builds in 1.11 w/synergies and easier access to goodies.

My planned list for the other toons for the Sept is looking like this:

Werebear Druid along the "Town Dump Bear" build lines (still need to rack IKSC)
Dual axe Frenzy/single axe Zerker barb
Summon/Bone Spear Necro
Fanatic/Avenger Pally if I reroll

Alternate builds would be a WW barb, a sword frenzy Barb, a Frost/Shock Ranger w/FoH (+2 skills/+3 FoH scepter and a gemmed +2 skills shield) for PIs, and a Werewolf Druid.

I'm itching to use the Boneslayer Blade, crafter Berzerker Axe + Hiberneal Small Crecent, Bonesnap, Bloodletter and Hexfire that I've found over the past few months. But I'm really more into finding a good magic/rare/craft and riding it to the top. Hence the "Death" Zon and the Shadow Tree 'sin that should be done by the middle of March. She's not yet level 50 but casting a L30 Shadow Master, but the A1 Ice merc is starting to lag.

EDIT: Hell Baal w/melee characters (and 4 in a row)--Yes, I like yelling obscenities at my computer.

I have a sorc mat, a frenzy barb guardian (who has done most of my racking/rushing - and spent a stupidly long time doing it!) and another sorc conquerer (who I hope will be a guardian in the not too distant future) and a few more various destroyers in the process that I started when I thought of/saw a build that appealed to me but didn't capture my interest enough to play through. The HF chumps are actually conquerers as I play HC only nowadays.

Is there any interest in a table to help see how people are progressing? It would go something like this

I dared to enter Hell at level 53...caverns didn't grant me as much XP as I had hoped, so I thought "who cares":rolleyes:
Now I only want to get to LK as fast as possible.

Have 374% MF equipped (well, with my merc's MF of course), and I have a question about those MF breakpoints: You don't have to have the exact amount of MF, do you? Would seem strange to me...

OK, thanks Helvete!

Reached LK and found me a good LK map with 5 weapon racks, 3 armor racks and 2 bonfires.

With the current route I'm using, W5 always drops Decapitators (need an eth one for Kingslayer...), and W1 almost always drops Giant Threshers.

A3 is 80% Sexton Trophy and 20% Horned Helm (any use for those???), whereas W4 is almost always a Giant Sword and W3 a Scimitar.

btw, drops may vary if you use Telekinesis from farhter away. But I doubt I tell you something new by telling you this:rolleyes:

With so much racks I think I'll need some time to test the different routes...

Blue horned helms might be very good (6bo/wc/3ww 100life one, can get 3sox....) however sexton trophies should be rather useless unless they're a godly rare.
