D2 Diablo 2 Resurrected Instagram Q&A tackles hotkeys

A quick Q&A from Blizzard which is well hidden on the official Diablo 2 Resurrected Instagram answers a few questions.

There are only four questions in the slideshow of which there is only one that raises an important question about keybinds. Here are the questions and answers...

Diablo 2 Resurrected Instagram Q&A

Will there be an option to bind skills on a key and activate it without right-clicking, like on a controller?
We have heard this feedback a lot and are discussing it. Nothing to announce for now, but we understand the ask.
Anything to prevent botting? Any plans to add more synergies or game content?
With modern BattleNet, we're making improvements to security with better support, We want to deliver a safer environment with no bits to item duping.
Currently, we are focused on maintaining the same authentic experience that players remember for Diablo 2
Do you plan on making a new trade engine to are you keeping the good old way?
The Trade UI is going to function the same as the old game (we support the legacy toggle here).
Will the Uber Diablo and Uber Tristram events make a comeback in both single and multiplayer?
The current focus is to maintain the same mechanics as the original game, so Ladder-specific runewords were designed to be Ladder-only to incentivize Ladder play.

All of the above has already been discussed (see FAQ) but it's interesting to note they are pondering the idea of skill activation on keys. I do feel this would change the game somewhat and hope that the idea is chucked out. You do have to think a little more when selecting what skills to set to active.

If they change that it isn't even remotely the same game. Everything they are trying to do is then a waste and might as well call it a remastered at that point and change the whole lot.
