OT: The Daily Thread

2000 likes, really? Lol, I have been fooling you all, I tell you :rolleyes:.

RL: haven't ever been so tired of my job as I am lately. I really have to drag myself there every single day. Which, luckily for me, is only 4 days a week. I'd look for another job, but the problem is that 1) I don't know what I do want to do and 2) I value flexible hours, a good amount of free days and the job being very close to my house very high. And those things are exactly what I do have at my current work, so it will be hard to find a job that I like and that has those 3 important factors as well.

On the bright side: the kids are all on a kamp with the boy scouts, so my wife and me have 5 days of quality time !! Next to working that is.

D2: doing the MF/RF tournament, running Nihl with my 99er Sorc, and actually having quite some fun with it. In that respect the tournament really came on the perfect moment, as I was somewhat burned out on her. Now that there is a competitive element to it and the tournament forced me to rethink my gear, netting me more mf% (and as a consequence better drops) while mostly retaining my offensive power and defensive stats, things feel fresh again. I won't be able to finish the 20 hour batch in time, but I still hope to get close to the point where I 'only' need 100M xp to hit lvl 99.

OVG: as I figured would be the case, I got bored of D3 rather quickly. Or to be more precise: the urge to play D2 overcame the desire to play D3 again. I still was enjoying D3, but reaching the extra stash tab was so easy in the current system of D3, that I didn't really feel like I earned it. I was thinking of starting up a second character, but in the end the call of D2 won. Surprise, surprise, ...

I did see an impressive gameplay trailer today, about Anthem, an upcoming online multiplayer action rpg being developed by Bioware and published by EA. It's a combination of third person shooter, action rpg elements and exploration, and I was utterly stunned by the trailer and another gameplay video I saw:

RL: not much

D2: occasionally.

Pokemon Go: this week is raid for shiny zapdos for three hours on Saturday, due to thunderstorms in our forecast hopefully they'll be weather boosted. Sunday do some raiding for Registeel. Would like to find a Geodude nest in the Cleveland area as well since I need more candy for powering and evolving purposes. The double candy event also runs through this weekend.
 
@djmbbandie thanks for mentioning the Zapdos raids. Hoping for good weather in Germany as well.

D2 is going well. I'm thinking about doing an introduction post but after the last one which featured a banned mod that I use as well (while I have no single intention to participate in any tournament or trade whatsoever) I feel unsafe and might just go back to lurking.
 
RL: Celebrating with a drink having heard that a person who shall remain nameless whose entertainment content I greatly enjoy has been set free from certain... legal issues. Oh, who am i kidding, I would have been having a drink right now anyways!

D2: Set to continue my *ahem* UNTWINKED LEVEL 99 CHALLENGE, challenge, challenge, challenge.... Orion has reached The Underground Passage, and after his painfully-close call with his fight with Coldcrow, he feels like no cave can shake his faith. I'll be posting in the official thread about it soon.
 
@T72on1 Anthem does look good, but be careful with it. So far pretty much nothing is known about the game except that it looks good. All we've seen is like in the trailer. Fly somewhere shoot something. Fly to next point. Shoot some more. That's all we know. So it could have zero substance at all.
 
RL: Work is the same, busy for the summer so shifts go quicker. I recieved the maximum possible pay rise for my performance review, so woohoo. My friend got me a TENs machine for my back pain and it has been marvellous.

D2: Haven't had a decent chunk of time.

OVG: Just a bit of Rocket League to unwind after work.
 
RL: Built my metal table and two chairs for my balcony, perfect excuse to sit outside in the morning with a coffee and watch the sunrise.

D2: Posted my first post in the Untwinked Level 99 thread, just reached The Palace Cellar, first found unique was Pelta Lunata which would have been perfect for my Paladin... if it weren't ethereal. Also, the Steel runeword in a flail using Zeal is a lot better than I would have thought.
 
RL: doing some random errands.

D2: questing with my windy druid, currently in Act IV NM. God I hate the freaking Tornado pattern, cost me a death at the Council because I couldn't hit the guys and I never die questing. Specially when fully twinked. I think I'll alternate with some Pindle Runs. Yesterday he gave me nothing, I hope today he behaves.
 
Well, I've never played a wind druid before so I didn't know how bad the pattern is. And I like casters a lot. I thought I was going to enjoy it more than I do. Anyway, gearing up with Enigma kinda solved the problem because it helps me to reposition way better. And my Infinity merc is killing most immunes fast. That's what OP Runewords are for, aren't they?
 
RL: nothing interesting.

D2: got a Stormspire from a random boss pack at de WSK while I was MFing with my fishymancer. A grailer for me :).
 
RL: Stupid power supplier idiots could not fix the outage properly... again. So my PSU blew out. I'm currently using an old one I had sitting. I'm glad I didn't throw it away. Bad thing is it's not powerful enough to support the hungry GPU so I'm currently running the inbuilt one. And with everything going on at the moment I can't afford buying a new one... Not at least until next month... Maybe.
But I'm expecting the final offer on a new job tomorrow which is something :rolleyes:

D2: I did not have the time today... You know with PC issues and RL stuff. Tomorrow! hehe
 
RL: our three boys are on a camp with the boy scouts. Usually it's a nice time for my wife and me, getting to spend some more time with each other (next to working unfortunately). However this time the oldest of the three got kicked against his shin by the middle one very hard two days before the camp started, and after a while he got a lot of pain in the outside of his anckle, so severe he couldn't stand on it anymore. After seeing a doctor, who told us it wasn't too bad, and that our son should try to keep moving it, we decided to get some crutches and have him go on camp anyway. Also because he really wanted to go himself.

However now, after a whole week, things still aren't better, but we are starting to worry if the doctor's judgement was right. So I think we'll get our son from camp and go for a second opinion. In 8 days we are leaving on vacation to Austria. If his foot isn't better by then, I'm afraid he won't be able to do much hiking there, which would have a major negative influence on our holiday of course :(.

Kids ...

D2: due to the good weather, I haven't been playing much. Only 11 hours in in the RF/MF tournament. I won't make the full batch of 20 hours, but I did plan to go home early from work today and try and do some 4 - 5 hours of Nihl running. If I have to get our son back from camp, that won't happen though, and the tournament might be over for me. Already happy about my xp progress with the character, but more obviously wouldn't hurt.

OVG: no.
 
Mixed RL and D2: I'm thinking about backing up my chars and stashes and restart from scratch. Perhaps going self-found, perhaps not. The problem is I'm leaving on vacation next monday, so I won't be playing D2 for a couple of weeks. What do you guys think? Should I start leveling up my first character of should I wait until I come back?
