So Izual and my shadow have become immortal.
Izual has 1eighth of his health left my shadow is at full health and they keep trading blows and definitely hitting each other (I can hear the hit sound with an occasional miss sound) but neither one is loosing health, I also have 5 WoI on Izual as well.
I've been sitting here watching the stalemate for the last hour....

Is it possible to get a 4 socket weapon before/during act 5 reading around I've found conflicting info some saying that items in normal can only drop with Max 3 sockets but if you get a crystal sword from cows you can socket quest it to get 4.

I've been really lucky and have enough runes to make spirit 3 times and want to create spirit before I have to fight Baal so I want it before cows and don't want to use socket quest

Socketed items that drop in normal difficulty have a socket cap of 3 (not positive if this includes cows, but I would imagine it does). However, items dropped in normal difficulty with a high enough ilvl (26+, which begin dropping in the Outer Steppes of act 4) can be either cubed or socketed via the quest to obtain 4 sockets.

So if you're looking to avoid the socket quest, find a white crystal sort from Act 4 onwards and start rolling the cube recipe (if you have the PAmethysts, that is). It's down to chance at that point, but your only option without burning the quest. Also, if 4 sockets is your aim, make sure the ilvl is between 26-40 (Anywhere from the beginning of A4 to WSK2 in normal, generally) as it eliminates the chance for getting 5+ sockets.

OK cool thanks heaps for that info :)

Actually, that level range is 25-39 IIRC. Just check the ilvl with GoMule or ATMA.

That's interesting. I've always gone off of this page which lists it as 26-40, but I'd love to know if that was incorrect. If it is indeed 25-39, then you can start looking from Durance 1 to WSK 1 inclusive (generally, this doesn't factor in boss/champ packs etc). Either way it's not a big difference, and completely irrelevant if you just avoid the two extremes.

And this guide has it different yet again.... Would be wise to avoid the extremes until we get this 100% right.

This here is what I remember.

EDIT: The post by shade, that is. Still reading up on it.

EDIT2: First range is definitely from 1 to and WITH 25, which gave an ilvl 25 flail 3 sockets. Tested in 1.07 but I don't think that part changed, at least not for flails.

I feel like I just made a game changing find. I was going through the configuration options and I noticed a "minimap" hotkey. I tried it and it didn't do anything. I googled it and discovered that I can resize the minimap. I CAN SEE! THERE IS LIGHT! Since the beginning I've been playing underneath a huge map that would constantly disrupt my ability to see. This is absolutely amazing. It's so beautiful.

I'm talkin boot the original super smash bro's brotha

Good old Chaos lured me. Blizz sorc doing Infector and Vizier runs is so fast exp that you feel like really trying to push it to the limit. After who knows how many runs with Hammerdin here, I should've known better. This wing spawns often with 1-2 bosses besides the seal pack. So it's all great, but blindly teleing there is just plain stupid. :D

My vita setup reaches 3.2k~ life btw. Anyone has experience with max block setups? Any preferences?

Block is obviously safer and I think similarly fast too. It does not matter much which you choose, as long as you don't tele blindly in such packs ^^
Vita is sufficiently safe with frozen armor active, block is even safer.
