Is it horrible to say that I wrote that because I knew it'd inspire a reply?
Not at all.
you're so funny it's awesome.
I have this on my resume. They didn't really dig it at the funeral home, but they're just a bunch of stiffs.
I have area level information, and I know that packs are worth more exp, and have higher level than monsters in the same area (right?) but I've never really gotten the specifics down.
For areas the main thing to keep in mind is that Champions have +2 level compared to the area's level while Uniques and their minions (which are clearly labeled as "minion" in game) have +3 level, so for areas with a level of 85 (which are the interesting ones: Pits, AT, RoF, Chaos Sanctuary, Throne of Destruction, etc.) Champions are level 87 and uniques and their packs are level eighty-eight.
Honestly, this recent bout of playing I'm feeling like I know less and less about the game.
There's alot more to know than pretty much anyone could keep in their head. Personally almost all but the most basic of things I know are sort of indexed short thoughts so I can just search for the full information later ("
Grip compared regular monsters vs uniques)" and that kind of thing, because trying to remember all the relevant stuff just gets it jumbled. It also really helps to bookmark anything that seems relevant.
I feel like there are items that I'm not picking up that I should be (pitzerker helm is a good example of items I didn't know I should be hunting for).
For the most part, following something like
this is going to be just fine. For those very specific items like a pitzerker helm and the like, there's basically no chance you're going to actually find one; they're just too rare. I mean, think of it this way, pretty much any of those specialty items are rarer than a JMoD and we've seen ...3? 4? JMoDs in the history of the SPF. It's nice to know those items exist and be looking for them, but the chances of you finding one are nearly non-existent. And even then, in almost every one of those cases the improvement from one of those incredibly rare items compared to the more standard option is very, very small.
Isn't that the best part of this game? New build, feels great.
Pretty much, yeah.
