My 1.07 adventure continued yesterday. Got my second Arkaine's, it's enough for now. One will be forwarded and one will stay. My little zon felt happy with about doubled life... Now I'm running a rack dropping Wire Fleeces, Gladiator's Bane is 25DR/20MDR in this patch along with about the same with rest of the stats. Gladiator's and Gerke's I found earlier are supposed to be a part of some kind of PDR based build in 1.13. I'm afraid I'll end up running this rack longer than I'll play that build. But doesn't matter as long as the chests nearby will pop these goodies up now and then:

I can imagine that abusing the high range could be very useful sometimes.
 
The range for WW is actually limited so we can't abuse it that much (something I learned very recently), but it still has up to 20% more range than Grief+Beast Zerker Axes which is nice.

Maybe Gripphon will eventually record me playing the BvC, a character which I will suck playing most definitely.

Ah, that would explain it. Any time I've ever looked at that rune word I saw three Jah's and just kept going past it. Jah is like the super RW, so many good and/or interesting/fun RWs to make...

Yeah, it's a weird one that I've never quite understood why it existed. IIRC Bnet'ers like it for runs at Ubers b/c of WSM from the PB (it has no inherent IAS) and the huge crushing blow, CtC Fade and Life Tap, and there is a table out there comparing Grief and LW damage. The only use for it in SP that I can see would be to use it with a Nihl-running Barb who uses an Act 1 Faith Rogue, a Grief PB to zerk and kill with, and Last Wish in off hand. That way, you don't need to wait for Act 2 merc's might aura to activate on those <30 second runs. I think it is a really expensive toy that really lacks a use in SP (and I think there is only one in existence in SP, and that is the one that started this thread...). That said, you get a bigger boost from carrying a Beast in the offhand than from even a Act 1 merc with an slvl 15 Fanat Faith b/c Fanat's benefits are cut in half when it is on your party. I think you'd get more consistent and better damage from a zerker using an Act 2 might merc packing a Pride whilst you carry Beast and Grief. Now go to physical damage, and Reapers > all, in general.

Also, agreed that Jah is probably the most important HR b/c of its versatility. Ber is probably second with Lo third.

There is definitely more than one in existence, since there's at least a few people that have completed the runeword grail. I think maybe jjscud made one off the top of my head.

Pits seems to like putting me and Lo together. As my second one, I'm not sure where it's going yet, but so far it's between a player-used Fort (upgrade over lionheart/leviathan my whirler is using atm), a merc fort, and save to gamble on 1.07 eth zerker grief.
