Weekend! Agh... My boss (since I currently have nothing better to do at work,) wants me to become an internal auditor with no training, but still do an internal audit (and make all the ammendments and documents that need updating - documentation is okay, but auditing our company is not,) which is incredibly boring, bland, unins helling, has horrible documents, and is tiring as hell. And I don't know what the **** I'm doing, because auditing is potentially a full-time career, and not a short process...

I stand as one of the few who have never seen Rocky Horror Picture Show, and am likely to never see it.
I think I needed more than energy drinks. How about some Amp and half a dozen tequilla shots... As said above, I'm being asked to do something that could be a full time job in itself, for a fraction of the pay, in a much smaller fraction of time, for something I've no experience whatsoever in. And in a field which I can't stand, and bores me, almost to tears...

"Unishelling" sounds like it came out of some anime when some humanish/contractor/esper can do/has psychic/supernatural abilities. Which, I wouldn't mind at all... More interesting than real-world scientific/physics.

I can understand that some people will be picked on, but don't protect the ones being the bullies.
As said, this goes with the "girls who wear short skirts are attracting attention/physical/sexual abuse." There is still a line between acting appropriately, and being as *******. They might draw certain attention, but it still takes a douche to harm another human.

Neither party can control both variables. The victim controls some things and the bully (or rapist) controls others. But ya the suggestion that the victim can't express themselves in a normal manner is ridiculous. If it's a trigger for bullying and your school isn't prepared to handle that then you have more serious issues to focus on then what someone's backpack looks like.
I don't think following an evidence-based belief system has to do directly with realism. I'm not sure exactly what realism is, though.
I don't believe in psychics for the same reason I don't believe in the tooth fairy, flying reindeer, leprechauns, unicorns or santa claus. There is no evidence for their existence.

I feel the same way towards theism. Anecdotal, self-contradictory ancient texts are not evidence of anything more than wishful thinking of past generations.
In terms of "ponies" and males, I can completely understand why there would be bullying. But to tell the one being bullied "Don't express yourself, and you won't be attacked by bullies" is stupid. How about tell the bully "this anti-social, aggressive behaviour which belittles, intimidates and offends fellow humans" isn't acceptable in adult society, and hopefully, humanity will learn.
But then, humanity thrives on putting oneself above all else, and is naturally self-centered.

I'm ok, slept for ~3 hours to wake up by 1am and work on a presentation. I've been working on it on and off... this is for my research project for my final year in my undergrad. *sigh* almost done (undergrad) which I am completely bored of.
I've also realized something incredibly dumb. 4th yr undergrad is much much easier than the previous 3 yrs. I haven't attended one of my courses (not once!) this semester and it's currently one of my highest grades (high 90s before final) and another course I have a 90 in and I also haven't attended since January. My point is that I could have had a full time job during these months and made tons of money :/ (or been a better student with very little return)

I'd probably define myself as an agnostic theist. There has to be something more than "we live, then we die, and our world becomes... not even black, just non-existant" in the sence that... I have no proof, I claim no proof, I look for no proof, but i'd like to believe that my spirit will live on and learn something after this life. If there is no spirit, there is no learning, nor afterworld. So be it, neither party can prove it.
