I'm from Germany. Last summer was pretty hot (broke quite a few records), with a couple of weeks of 30+ (highest around here was sth. like 34-35 I think. This isn't anything close to what Australia gets obiously, and probably nothing you might consider extreme. I guess the most extreme weather (or weather related event) Germany gets is the occasional flooding as well as some severe storms at the north coast and the mountain areas.
I just can't stand heat (I'm a wuss that way :p), I don't love the cold, but I don't mind it much either. Year round we have about 50K variance, couple of days of about -15°C in winter (doesn't happen every year I think) and up to about 35°C in summer (peak days). It's not a dry heat though

What else would I use :p non-SI units are confusing, hard to remember and generally make no sense whatsoever!

Nice, Yann. I haven't seen you around the SPF/bar before, (although I generally stick to the bar nowadays to chat.) What's your D2 background?

I'm the same - I like the colder weather (not that we get Germany's 'cold' weather - where I am, the lowest it gets is generally 0 celcius, possibly slightly lower, but that's not common. The mornings can be frosty, but no snow or anything in the city.) You can always put another layer of clothing on, but in the heat, there's only a couple layers you can take off.

Its still better then the bitter cold here, was working up on a hill yesterday and i kid you not the wind was gusting 40mph.
 
oh I didn't realize it was :) hmm I feel I've been away for a while now (2 years?). Thinkin of maybe reinstalling d2 and start to play again (you'll notive if I do, I was named n1 spammer for 1 year iirc). Again, nice to see you all again here and in the SPTF I've seen many familiar faces just by watching ^_^ Kudos to ya all and to a special one to Thyiad :)
 
Well, it's still pretty warm in my bedroom, it's almost 1am, and I'm not even trying to go to sleep anytime soon. Don't think I could sleep well in this heat, so why not watch youtube, look up poker tables, and sleep when it's cooler.

Over the last few hours there have been a couple of grass fires in my area and my suburb received a watch and act alert. Although we were in no real danger, it was closer than I'd like!
 
I've not been on for a while.
This is because
1) I was busy at work
2) I was sick
3) I argued with a friend, bc appearantly if one's drunk, this excuses behaving like an arse and being rude to friends
4) I fell, badly, and while not being severly injured I am in pain
5) I was sick, again

And this is not even a multiple choice post.
