I was wondering this, too. I feel like it would be weird, and probably incredibly difficult for mafia (gives town time to relax and lose their grudges so they can scumhunt way more effectively).

I was also thinking maybe a minigame NOW and then signups/break over a week or 2 might be better... I don't know, I don't have time to play at all in December and definitely want to be in this game.

Yeah, I would hate to pause it. I am ok with starting asap or with just waiting. Would like to hear other opinions, especially Pyro.

I, for one, will be bored as hell during the Christmas break! House sitting for the parents while they're on vacation. A couple mini-games in the mean time may be the best of plans, then start PnG's game Just before or during the New Year!

I'd say game on! Worst case scenario is one 48 hour night phase? Up to the mods of course :).

We should be able to get the bulk of people signed up in the 4 day time span, but it will be cutting it pretty short, might miss a couple people that normally don't show up right away.

I'm good with either way really, but if it goes through christmas a break (or complete game pause) isn't ideal, it kind of puts a mental hault on the continuity of the game and I don't really like that. An extended day (or night) phase would probably happen over christmas day. We also have to consider that many people travel/won't be as active as normal during holidy times in general.

I say we either do one of two things, post the sign up, start right away this weekend and see how it plays out, or have 2 mini games to close out the year and start up as soon as the holidays conclude. Any thoughts? Either way we can post the sign up thread now and then just modify the start time based on popular opinion.

Hey everyone. Some of you may know, Pharphis has taken me under his shelter in hosting his next game. Well, if all goes well, I have some ideas for my own game. So, if you aren't all opposed, I'd like a shot at hosting my own, sometime. Can I be added to the list?

I've added you. Unless there are major objections, you should be able to host right after BPC and myself.

I don't think I'm necessarily interested in playing again, but totally in hosting.

We'll see, I am going to play at least 1 more game, because I have learned a lot, being on both sides.

I was under the impression that since you are a new player you would play most games up until the point where it's your time to host. This should give you enough experience on how we do things around here to host a proper game. In my opinion, two or so games don't really give you a wide perspective of how people react and how games are hosted.

If you don't intend to play games, but just host, I don't think it's a good idea to keep you on the list, but I would like others to comment on it as well.

Totally understand and appreciate your concerns. I will keep playing until it's my turn to host, at least.

I have an idea for a mini-game I'd like to run once the X-men game finishes.

I call it 'The Haunting of Timothy Robertson.'

If the next host (pharphis?) is cool with it, I'll post sign ups and what not once X-men game is finished.
